Thank you girls! Fun project . . .
The initials aren't mine and I'll probably find a way to "camoflauge" them too. Has to be something fairly flat, but I haven't really pursued that yet.
THANK YOU AGAIN!

Wow, I love that lace box, so pretty.

I had two things today... My sewing student made these for William today

I then got inspiration to make another nursing maternity gown. I was not paying attention while cutting and messed up the direction... sigh, it is on SALE in my etsy shop now.

I just finished up my DD birthday dress, she is turning 5. It was hours and hours of work, but worth all the time in cutting and stitching. It is made of satin with an organza overlay that has Disney Princesses all over it. I had made the skirt for myself for a costume... and never wore it, but before I threw it to donations, I figured out to do this.

I have been crocheting lately (bags_ and making bowls out of magazine pages....Some of the bags are College colors...My Aunt helped me by email today, and taught me how to redo some of the patterns to crochet the logos into the bags instead of putting them on afterwards...so nice to have an Aunt like that, and to think we haven't been in the same room together for over 40 years...lol bowl made from magazine pages crochet bagsHarley Davidson Colors Georgia Bulldogs Carolina GamecocksClemson Tigers purple and orange and Clemson Tigers Orange/white with purple tie

Oh I didn't mean to hit the button...lol Two more Carolina Gamecock bags, just smaller and different styleTN Vols....

I also want to show my very first Teddy Bear I made for a newborn baby and also a afghan I just started called a Never Ending Granny Square. It is suppose to have an odd number of colors but I couldn't find 3 that I like so I'm using just 2.

Thanks for letting me share...I haven't been crocheting past the beginner stage for very long so I'm very proud of myself for what I've learned to do these last few months... I have just learned to read patterns this year.

Wow! Emily, I love your work. When I was in my child nursing days, I had to spend top dollar to buy special dresses/tops. Your dress looks so comfortable too. I can't wait to get a skirt from you. It's inspiring me to work harder at the gym, and get the weight off.

Penny, I love your crochet work. Especially the one with the paw print. So neat. I love the teddy bear too. I have not made any toys with crochet work yet.

I am working away on items to sell at the Farmer's market. I'm afraid that I will be focusing more on my jellies than my crocheted items this year. However, I do have some finished items all ready to sell. I have a dd that is making quilled gift tags to sell too.

Today I have to spend the day time working in the garden and starting our first planting. Then we have to start the chicken coop project - tear down the "emergency" coop and make it much larger for more room for meat chicks. Then, if the weather holds, we have more yard work.

I hope to have time tonight, to finish some knitted dishcloths and finish up another crocheted lightweight "farmgirl" dishcloth.

Penny, your bowl looks great. I did these awhile back with junk mail. Here's one that I did using the leftover tape from a postage machine. After I constructed it, I painted the bowl and added some leftover wallpaper to the rim.

Penny and Phyllis...very impressed with those bowls girls. Phyllis...yours looks like and actual ceramic
bowl. Penny...also love all your crocheting...you really have been crafting up a storm girl.

I am kinda with CJ here...Wowsie!!! WOW!...everyones work is just stellar.

I am making a granny square...afghan/shawl. I just learned how to crochet granny squares. Made myself watch
a tutorial 3 times until I had it down. Like you Penny...I feel like I have accomplished something...because I am a better Knitter than Crocheter. This pattern I am making calls for 128 granny-squares...I want to make it last for my summer crafting project. So, I am making myself take it slowly.
My Bible Study group becomes a Summer Crafting Group for May, June, July and Aug. So for now... I crochet a little,
craft a little, knit a little... all in hopes of not sitting down and doing a 30 hr marathon...on this shawl/afghan
just so I can get it finished, which is what I much prefer doing. Ha Ha!

Have a Great Weekend Ladies!

peggy

Penny and Phylis, that is so cool how you did that with the bowls, simply amazing!

Fields, I am still looking out for more of the denim, but no luck at this moment, sigh, the search continues on.

I haven't posted on here for a while, I don't think lol. Lovely projects that I saw - finished & unfinished!

Today I am attempting to make a dress for my friend for our Ladies Night. I have to adjust it a bit so it fits, so that's a little more work than what I bargained for, but I think it will be ok. My Mom is making mine at her place since she has to work this wknd. Mine is a dark purple and my friends is a spice brown kind of color - does that make sense? I will try to post pictures once they are done and/or when we are wearing them...

I am getting ready to attempt to recreate this:

for a friend of mine who's a Discworld fanatic.

It should be fairly easy- she has the patterns for the turtle and elephants for sale and I bought them - but I'll have to figure out the disc...
