I have the SE. I can't afford the next model up. Besides, I like the one that I have. I sure put my machine through a lot, and it does very well. I wished that I could finish that quilt. I am glad that you like the quilt blocks. Patrick just turned 2, and the quilt still isn't finished. I made up my mind though, that I will be working on it next month. I am just trying to build up inventory right now, and once I feel that I have enough, then I feel that I can work on the quilt.

I'm finally getting my dress form into "my shape". Added padding, duct tape and put a long T shirt on her. Almost a duplicate.
-A quick sewing area tidy & I'm ready to sew a car track for our grandson. Then onto to some nes shirts & a denim skirt.

Hi Kristine, I do the same thing and pad my form where I am padded! I keep thinking I need to make a "fat suit" that I can zip on and off as I also sew for others from time to time and it's a real effort to remove all my padding and then put it back on. I haven't quite come up with a plan on how to do it but one of these days I'm going to figure it out. I did a lot of sewing for my son's wedding last fall and all these sweet young things are a lot smaller than me. I just got all my padding back on my form as well. Anybody else pad their dress form?

Blessings, Sheri

Cleaning out my sewing space. All the posts here have me itching to do some stitching! Since I'm not likely to get to the sewing machine I am working on my on-going project...crochet covered hangers. They keep the clothes from slipping off and remind everyone in my family of my grandma. I'm aiming to give everyone in my family a set of 6 from Christmas this year.

Praying for you Betty. Cancer fighters are my prayer passion...Mom is 5 years cancer free, one of my kindergarteners has a little brother with brain cancer, and a dear friend of mine has a 6 year old finishing a 3 year treatment for leukemia. And that's just the tip of the iceberg here. Everyday I will lift you up in prayer!

Prayer costs nothing, but is worth the most.

Today I am working on finishing a Mountain Man Jacket for a customer.
It was started some years back, needs to be re-sized to fit and he would like it to button in the front rather than pulling it over his head.

So that is taking time to alter the design, add in the needed pieces and then make all the fringe! I will post pictures when it is done.

I'm hoping to finish my daughter's garter and ring bearer pillow for her wedding in 3 weeks! I also need to put the finishing touches on my netbook cover. AND, most importantly, I'm praying for Betty and all cancer patients. Dianne

WOW! It's been a long time since I've visited here...... You guys are inspiring me though. I too have been cleaning. I have several things I'd like to start, but am making myself finish up putting 2 BIG boxes of pictures in albums. ( Boring, but needs done) Today I have been sewing/designing dog coats. My BFF has a Chihuaha (sp?) The little guy is always cold and most ready mades are out of her budget. I found several ideas online and have made her 3 different types out of fleece scraps. Tomorrow we will see which one she likes best.

Thank you Sharon!

Hi Teddie, I sew dog coats too! I have a pattern for the "tea cup dogs" Never saw such a tiny full size dog in my life! A woman approached me to help, the dog would have froze to death up here in the Great North Woods. I would love to see a picture of your doggie coat. . Hint. .Hint

Joanna... I really have to learn how to post pics. I'm very technically challenged. I love all the sewing and hand crafts, but the computer stuff baffles me. One of my goals is to learn how to put pics on here. I'm gonna talk to my BFF and have her show me. Won't swear I'll get the dog coats on here, but I'm gonna learn this.

Wow there are some talented "Farmgirls" out there. I love to quilt, embroidier. I have a sewing room set up, when I do not have time t ogo to my sewing room, so will sit and work on a embroidery project. How do you ladies handle this or maybe you do not run into this. I pick a project then soon I move to another. I do not know why I am doing this. Help ladies.

Viola, LOL!! We all do that!!! I think it comes from all the creative things we like to do for starters, then our moods come into play and then finally whatever our spirit wants to do at that particular moment. I must have at least 20 different projects in various stages at any given time. If it's chilly working on a quilt or an afghan is great, however, if it is hot, then maybe some embroidery or darning is in order. Since I sew for a living, people always laugh because I continue with the sewing for myself once I'm done "work" for the day

I'm feeling like a big ditz. I keep trying to enter my sewing kit for a beginners badge and I keep ending up with errors I am NOT very computer savvy

I think I just clean house and try to teach myself embroidery...The Stitching Room book is a wonderful teaching guide...almost done with my apron...hand sewing takes a bit more time.

Have a sew happy day everyone

I just finished one of my recycling projects! A tuna can into a sunflower pincushion! It is so fun & cute! I might just have to make another! I wonder if my husband will notice if we have tuna & noodles all week?!?! Always thinking of new things to recycle!
