Today I cut and pinned together all the pieces for my Alice in Wonderland quilt. Tomorrow the sewing will commence!

I am making a new dress and apron for my very large Raggedy Ann doll. I have had this doll since I was a toddler; she was made by my grandmother. Her dress and apron are getting sunbleached and ratty looking, so the doll is getting farm girl make over!

Wow! Sold some more "Lizzie Purses", can you believe it? Have ordered labels and made up some business (?) cards. So far it's been a blast and very good for my ego. I am doing some fabric today and looking for PURPLE! We are going camping for a few days at the air force base, lots of work for me (my husband is in the end stages of COPD) but at least we get a change of scenery. Lizzie loves to go camping, Henry (the rescue Brussels Griffon) is the welcome committee. We all have a great time. Then will come home and sew! Yeah.

OK, I'm ready-Let's go.

Thanks to Sheep Mom 2, I'm making lavender wands. I made four of them yesterday, quick as a wink, but need to make one more as I will be seeing 5 friends this weekend and want to surprise each of them with that wonderful natural clean sweet aroma only lavender has.

I'm glad to know you are jumping in to lavender weaving. I just harvested enough for 6 wands and am about to start weaving in a few min. I just did my last strawberry picking and took the netting off to let the birds have at the remainder. It's been an extended season here because of the cooler temps. (I know - we are the only part of the country cooler than normal) but I got well over 100 lbs from my patch this year. Tomorrow is Strawberry jam day.

Blessings, Sheri

Just finished up making two stuffed owl pillows. They will be going to twin boys and matches the fabrics used in their nurseries.

I've been picking fleeces getting ready to wash them next week but the wind is playing havoc with things and has been all summer. Hard to pick a fleece that's trying to blow away. I got one finished before it got too windy to continue without chasing it across the yard. I have been harvesting more lavender and bundling for drying. I think for now I am finally finished with wands - at least until I can get more ribbon. So far I've done 30 in the last week. I have 4 bushes down now and still have 20+ to go! My nose is in overload and the bumblebees are sad as I take each bush down. At least it feels more like summer today after all this cool weather.

The socks look great, Jenny as always. I have two pair in process but haven't had time to touch them. The owl pillows are super cute, Sharon. How did your wands turn out?

Blessings, Sheri

Pillow slips, this pair is made with a cotton body and washable satin edging. The edging is 7 inches wide. These are large and take big pillows.

Sharon and Cherime, Your work is beautiful and very inspiring! I'm finishing up a skirt (for myself--that's a rarity!) so once I photograph it and the laptop case I made for my college-bound daughter (child #3), I'll post the pictures. Dianne in the Hudson Valley

OK, here is an update to the Lizzie Purses. First, everytime I wear my purse someone asks where I got it. So, another sale. I am sending a photo of the latest purses to date. The purple, quilted purse is sold to "PeggySmiles", thanks again Peggy. The feed back on the purses is that the size is perfect, not too big and not too small, which is why I made it to begin with. Couldn't find the Perfect size. I am trying to get 30 together so that I can do the Fall show here in Vero, but I keep selling them. That's ok with me as I love to know who buys one. Thanks for letting me "show off".

OK, I'm ready-Let's go.

I'm so excited, my whole family is going to two craft stores tonight and hopefully both my DD and myself will get fabric. I'm teaching my DD to sew at 22 years old and I need to make my pillowcases for a swap and hopefully find something I like for the apron swap, then I'll sign up for it.
Sorted thru more fabric last night, I had inherited my MIL stash when she went into the nursing home. Lots of Christmas stuff.

Oh Peggy, The purple one is definately yours! I have been asked if I would make another just like it and I declined! See what you started LOL! My neighbor friend stopped over yesterday and asked what I've been doing as she hasen't seen me around very much. When I showed her the purses, she bought two. I am having so much fun as I just love fabric, color and design. I've already made two different styles. My husband just shakes his head and says at least I'm staying out of trouble.

OK, I'm ready-Let's go.
