Nancy, I just told my husband I wanted to learn the Dulcimer. How hard is it? Do they have Dulcimer's for Dummies? LoL!

Vanessa -- Love the love spoon. Wood carving is something I have never tried. I would probably end up at the hospital getting stitches.

Love everyone's projects!!! That spoon is wonderful Vanessa. I want to try to make some wooden utensils one day.

I've been doing a little sewing

I have a bit of an apron addiction! I have another one cut out but not put together yet.

Here's my manure hauling project finally finished - a crocheted cowl

Hi Darlene,
It isn't hard to learn playing the dulcimer. There are two ways to play. One is with pressing the strings with your fingers making chords. You can play the melody or strum chords, much like a guitar. The other is with a noter. It is a small stick that presses the melody strings only. You can check on YouTube for all kinds of videos. Most important, be patient with yourself and have fun.

Vanessa - Adore the love spoon. We're Norwegian, so it's a wedding tradition in our family.
Heather - Love the aprons, especially the butterflies.
Darlene - Rock Art is fun. We paint them and leave them along the trail for others to find.

Oh my goodness, you have all been busy bees! Beautiful work everyone. I haven’t been very productive over this quarantine time. I have been busy entertaining toddlers all day! Lol they are going crazy with our lock down and really missing school, music, and tumbling. I enjoy seeing your work. It makes me smile!

It's been a few days since I visited. This virtual space is like walking through an art gallery! Everything is beautiful beyond words. My comfort is crochet. It's been very rainy, and living in a world that feels like the Twilight Zone calls for comfort. This is a project I started over a year ago and set aside. Granny squares are an easy, meditative pattern. Now it's time to work on it once again. Many blessings to all of you! Be well!

Everything is beautiful. So many ideas! The spoon is really nice. I'd be cutting myself for sure. Granny squares are addictive. Leaving the rocks is a good idea. I heard it before. I can't paint but I have stones that I wrote inspirational words on. I took a basket to the chemo center. Peace, Joy, Love, Blessed, Healed and other encouraging words. Makes me want to do that again!
One day I will get a Dulcimer and learn! I'll check YouTube out for the time being!

Thank you so much Marie, for the embroidery sampler. It is so intricate! I plan to frame it! This brings up memories of Grandma Vitums teaching us needlework.

That embroidery sampler is beautiful and vibrant! Thank you, Grace, Judith and Krista for your kind comments. I am making a bedspread for a California king bed that will have 80 squares - 10 x 8.
Everyone's work here is eye-candy and so inspiring. Thank you for sharing! This is such a bizarre time in history, but we will make it through. Also, think of all the beauty we will have created! We should date everything so that in decades from now we remember.
Be well!

Natalie, that’s a good idea. And then even in many years from now our families will hand those projects down and tell the story of what happened to our world when it was made. Could be a way to tell about history, just like in the past.

These are my new recycling projects. Using toilet tissue rolls and the priority envelope, I make trinket boxes and lids covered with decorative paper. More later when they are done

Vanessa, what a great idea..
When I taught Pre-school.. one of the "Spring Themed" projects I did with the children,,, we painter TP rolls black,, and then I stapled 2 rolls together,, and added string on each side (like a lanyard).. then we would go outside and use our 'Binoculars" to look for birds and butterflies, etc.. the kiddos loved it....
SO your trinket box brings back old wonderful memories....
TP rolls are such great fun for crafting.

Also you can make a thin 'paste' with flour and water, and 'paste' on tissue paper or (veggi dye print) newspaper to one end,, fill with potting soil and use the tubes for seedling starters.

Gotta luv TP rolls!
