There are some BEAUTIFUL projects going on these days!!! The cards! The quilts! The Yo-Yo's!!! :)

Haven't posted here in a while but wanted to jump back in!

I've been working on various felt ornament projects and other things for Christmas over the summer.

Most recently I've been working on a crop of felt food for a little girl's birthday in early Sept. Also just finished this softie for her as well:

This week I'll be working on finishing up felt/yarn "broccoli florets" and then starting a little project for my sister's Oct birthday - it's called a "Travel Wee" and I can't wait to start it! More info to come!

Krista,
You are right. Definitely SW fans. All of us are actually so I enjoyed working on it. I have a couple fall projects. Have to get a move on. Trying to do my fall cleaning and get it out of the way so I can get started on them.

Jaime,
That unicorn is adorable!

Finished the last of the felt food this weekend - birthday gifts are all wrapped up and waiting for next weekend's party!

I finished a felt cupcake ornament, did some more embroidery on burlap ribbon and made a good start on a set of ornaments made from mini embroidery hoops - each hoop has black felt with a different holiday design in white - touches of green and red. Then I'll hot glue either white, red or green pom pom trim around the outside of the hoops. Can't want to see how they all turn out. I have two hoops done except for gluing on the trim.

Power was out yesterday so I was working by flashlight - ugh!

Wow! Everyone has been busy little bees. Love all the ornaments and quilts. Can't wait until next year after our move. I hope to get a designated lady lair sewing room with a sign "no cave dwellers allowed".

I found this pattern for a starfish dish cloth on You Tube. It is an easy pattern. It probably took a little over an hour to make one.

Since I'm at my summer farm I have a few crafts I leave here. One is stamped cross stitch. I'm working on this now, I started last year-

below my little stamped cross stitch kits I leave here-

Otherwise my teens ask me to sew things. I never sewed while summer-ing at the Lake. Here I do! Below is my 17 year old wearing a T shirt that was too big, and had short sleeves. She loves it when I re-fashion them for her. Altho a few were too well worn to save LOL!! We send "old" clothes here to wear. Since at home in the City we dress nicer ;o)

Her name is Faith Blessing, we adopted her from Tyler TX. She's my right arm!

Joyfully, Eliz~

Still need to add the hangers and hot glue the pom pom trim around the outside of each hoop...

Greetings: Have not been on the site in a while, for starters elder care is keeping me very busy! Projects look wonderful! Now that fall will be greeting us soon, it is time to plan on quilting projects. I just LOVE Kim Diehl and am wondering who else may be a fan. I have Kim's books and recently learned about her BOM projects as well as individual patterns. Perhaps fellow Farmgirls may have the following patterns: Geese In The Meadow, Handful of Stars, Big & Chunky Woven Stars or Journeys End BOM. Also offered by Henry Glass, but not Kim, Cotton Pottery. Happy to share patterns that I have. Many thanks!

Thank You Judy, Nancy and Grace!
Grace we adopted 17. Plus our 4 by birth. I have a Grace too adopted from Abilene TX, her middle name is Lovey. She just won a MN State Scholarship to pay for her to get her Masters! She's married 5 years, we are very close.

We did adopt some blessings with mental health issues who have seriously tried to make our lives hell as young adults. I still love them and I just feel so sad that they take their anger out on us. :o(
I have a birth children with Mental Health issues too, and one of them joins in with her adopted siblings and encourages them. They don't need encouragement.

Joyfully, Eliz~

I am working on a crocheted Mariner's Scarf.

I am crocheting 4 stitches in the back loop and 4 stitches in the front loop across to get a nice texture. This one will be going to a person who doesn't have one of their own.
