Once I figurevit out, I will gift it to you...
I am thinking it will be the large size yoyos for the body and as for the 'head ' I will need to make a stuffed ball for the shape...
It will be a fun challenge.

grace i bet the head, you keep stacking like the body, and then add the extras. eyes ears, beak and top of head.

It looks as if the head is made of 4 yoyos: one folded over the top of the body, two for the eyes and one folded over the top of the eyes to create the ears. Too bad we don't see the back of the bird.

OK, today I indulged and leisurely sat at the dinning room table and card crafted.
I made 10 cards for a current card swap,, and I want so much to post a photo, but alas,, that would spoil the fun for the gals in the swap.. I will post pics after the swap ends.
It has been a couple of years since I made any cards.. I forgot how fun it was.

Ahh, the 1 yard Wonder strikes again!
Hubby & I had to run some errands in town the other day and I managed to find myself in the fabric department...lol!
And yes,, I found some cute fabric,, so I bought 1 yard of each... I yd Wonder strikes again! I buy 1 yard and then get home and wonder why, and what will I make with it.. lol!
I couldn't resist this Waverly fabric all chic and glittery,, and found a cute companion fabric to go with it.
Then I found the cute Winter Village fabric, so I searched for the perfect solid fabrics to match.
Well yesterday I cut and stitched up a sweet Holiday table topper...
the pale yellow is actually a butter yellow,, but does not show well in the photo..
OMGpeers! I actually got a Holiday project done not only in time for the Holiday,, but,,, earlier! lol!

Oh and btw... I had a casualty...
while I was stitching the binding,,, I was also watching the Seattle Seahawks vs Minn Vikings game and wasn't paying attention... lol!

Diana... been there, done those... I even made a Bunny yoyo based on the snonman one. I used a small pompom for the tail and itty bitty mini pompoms for the cheeks and nose and thick fishing line for the wiskers.
yeppers... I love my yoyos...

There are some BEAUTIFUL projects going on these days!!! The cards! The quilts! The Yo-Yo's!!! :)
Haven't posted here in a while but wanted to jump back in!
I've been working on various felt ornament projects and other things for Christmas over the summer.
Most recently I've been working on a crop of felt food for a little girl's birthday in early Sept. Also just finished this softie for her as well:
This week I'll be working on finishing up felt/yarn "broccoli florets" and then starting a little project for my sister's Oct birthday - it's called a "Travel Wee" and I can't wait to start it! More info to come! |
