I learned to crochet this year and have been going to town. My great granddaught's birthday is this week (6 yrs) and I am converting a pineapple shawl to her size with a matching beret. She loves wearing hats and wraps.

Hi Pam! Thanks!! I have been receiving emails from some of the gals asking about them. They are machine embroidered and the yellow fabric makes them " look Happy" LOL! They are so fun to do, as I mentioned, I am planning on making some napkins with them on the edge.

WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON TODAY?

Today I am working on just staying awake! LOL I am tired from my fibro.

But also, I am working on packing up swap items for mailing out. That will
take me awhile and then I am going back down for a NAP! Some days are just
all about catching up on some rest.

Blessings,
~peggy

I am so excited. I am making my granddaughter, Mae, who is 16 mo., a "picking" apron for next summer. I found a picture of an adult "harvest" apron and thought, "how cute for Mae next summer when she goes out and helps me harvest vegetables out of the garden". So I made my own pattern (a first for me) and sewed it up, now I'm embroidering a farm scene on it!

Since I was born in Holland, and she calls me "Oma" (grandmother in Dutch) I am embroidering "Oma's Kleine Boerinije" on the apron. It means Grandma's little farm girl!

I am new to the Sisterhood and am going to make this my first project for a merit badge! I'll send you all a picture when it's completed!

Joanna...still havent made it to the Nap yet either but I need to get there because
everything I touch I keep dropping and messing up. Too Tired!

Farmgirls are so talented and creative! I am so inspired by all of you and the pictures are treasured. Marlies, welcome to the forum. I just put the finishing touches on a tunic blouse I made for myself (just need to cut those buttonholes open--you'd think I was doing surgery, I'm so nervous!), then I'm starting an apron from my UFO pile. karrieann, the bonnet is really pretty and you did a very good job on it. I love those bonnets and when I fwas a little girl, all the women in the town where I lived wore those whrn the were out side, I use to have a pattern, but don't know what happened to it.

Today I worked another tote bag. This one is for my cousins g-daughters Birthday. I will put some crayons and some pony tail bands and a few other small things in it. I machine emb. her name on it also. Thats about it, stayed inside, Its to hot here and I can't take the heat. Love you all, Farmsister #1020 Juanita

Hi, finished the overalls! They work great in the garden and in the kitchen. And I think they look nice with my assorted aprons too. Now on to more fun projects: the dolls. Suzanne
