Thanks Marcy. I'm hoping he will love it, so I'm making his son a matching one! Your Afghan turned out fabulous. I'm glad you decided to keep it. It's always nice to enjoy your own work.
Grace, do you guys have snow already?

Here is a pic of the fleece blanket I finished:
And here is one of a felt cover I made that can be slipped on and off of Meade notebooks:
Although I'm thinking of adding some more detail to it's design, maybe some swirling lines to suggest wind blowing the leaves... |

Jamie, I love your woodland themed blanket! That's the same theme I am doing with one of the blankets I'm making. I think the swirling lines would look nice on your book cover.

Wow, so many beautiful things!! I'm always impressed with crocheted projects. Jamie, I love outdoorsy things and that blanket is great! I've been busy trying to finish up some t-shirts for a co-worker of mine. It's turned out to be more of a project than I realized. Also made some family things. Our daughter has a new puppy, 10 months old now that she wanted him to have his own towel because he slobbers when he drinks...

Marcy, I loooove that scrap afghan! Is there an official pattern or did you just make it up?
I just finished them hem on my dress today and then I am about eight rows deep on a 'mesh crochet' scarf made with the Lion Brand Mandala (RAINBOW!!!) yarn. :D

Thanks, Krista!
Needle - That towel cracks me up! With our mastiff we have a jumbo pack of towels from Sams that we are rotating through. We call them "jowl towels" :) |

Jaime, love the blanket. It looks so warm and cozy.
Oh my goodness, Grace. If we got that much snow already I would be screaming like a Banshee! I really, really hate snow. Although I must admit your picture is absolutely beautiful
Judy, love, love the puppy and his slobber towel. So precious.
Amanda, thank you so much. Actually, the afghan is just a simple crochet granny square. It's super easy. All I did was chain four then slip stitch into a loop. Then chain three, (first chain always counts as a double crochet) two double crochets, chain one then three double crochets, chain one three more times so that there are four clusters. Then three double crochets, chain two, three more double crochets to make the corner then chain one and double crochet into each chain one space and so on. I hope you understand this (I am not the best at instructions) if you have any questions, please send me an email.
And now we get to the million and one squares that I have been cutting. Honestly, no there are not a million and one squares but it sure did feel like there were when I was cutting them out. I got it into my head that I wanted to make a postage stamp quilt so I went though my scrap material, washed and ironed it all...then starting cutting it into two inch squares. I cut and and I cut and I...well, you get the idea. Now that they are FINALLY cut, I am going to start sewing them together. I am hand piecing and hand quilting this quilt so I'm sure it is going to keep my busy.

Grace, I am actually very jealous! We typically have snow this time of year but the last couple of years we haven't and it feels like something is wrong and missing.
Judy, your new puppy is adorable! I bet he enjoys being spoiled with his bandannas and towels!
Amanda, can't wait to see your rainbow scarf!
Marcy, that looks like a million little squares! You have been busy and sounds like you will stay super busy. The colors are beautiful and I bet it will be gorgeous when it's done!

Grace, love the Christmas stockings! Tomorrow I have to finish some shirts for a co-worker. I've been working on them on and off for months. I'm done putting it off and they are Christmas gifts. Sooooo I'm putting the petal to the metal, as they say!

Finally got around to adding buttons for a little bling. Could not believe how limited the selection of buttons there was at the local fabric and craft stores.
I wanted a peridot green shank style crystal button. Could not hardly find any green at all.
Whoa to the clerk when he asked did I find everything I was looking for. I was in a particularly whiny mood that day and pitched a hissy fit about it. The clerk was very gracious and apologied. He explained the main button supplier factory was hit hard by Harvey and Irma. I had to shut up in shame.
