Krista, your blanket turned out so nice! I bet the little guy is going to love snuggling up with it.

I will post more photos of baskets as I get them made. Since I need to sit on the floor, I have to use my kitchen floor because the basket reeds soak in water and I need to be on a surface that can take lots of moisture. Also the reeds are sometimes long, so I need space to lay everything out. But.........then I have to clean it all up so I can cook and we can use the kitchen again. I wish I had an outdoor shop where I could just keep everything and just leave it there when I am done and not have to totally clean up and then have to start over every time. However, a Farmgirl has gotta do what a Farmgirl has gotta do to plunge forward!! LOL!!

Hi everyone! I've been gone for a while. This has been a very hard year. Lost my sister-in-law in August, my brother in January and my Mom in May. Have been dealing with estates and the such so have not been working on much of anything else. Things are letting up and I am excited to get started in my craft room. I am still working on my quilt. Looks like it will be winter of 2019 before it is done but am glad to be back at it. Tomorrow I am going to brave the UFO's in my craft room and see what else I can get working on. The projects everyone here have finished is a real inspiration to me. I am so glad to be back!

Welcome back Theresa!
Sorry to hear of all the losses you have had over the year.
Sometimes quilts need to age a little before they are ready to be finished, at least thats what I tell myself.

Take care, will be sending good thoughts your way

Thank you Denise Ann. That is so true. I've been working on this quilt for a couple of years already but when it is done it will wrap my grandson in the warmth of love.

Krista, cute blanket! I love the potholder. That looks complicated.
Grace, the banner is really cute. I bet it will look great hung up in his room.
I've been working on the embroidery for a reproduction jacket. It's been a project! Hopefully it will be done soon.

Very much agreed Winnie! Everyone's projects are always fabulous and they drive me to try and do more.

Grace, your Mickey Mouse banner is adorable. He will love it. We love Mickey Mouse here too.

Welcome back Theresa. Sorry to hear of all your loss. I hope your crafting can help you feel better. Good luck with your UFOs.

Linda, how was your quilt retreat?

Thank you Judy!

I've been playing in the clay again. I made two what I call Mermaid's Tears pendants.

And a Fairy House made from a recycled glass bottle. I saw the houses on Pinterest and I fell in love with them. I most certainly did not fall in love with how long it took me to make it. In fact, I sat there thinking 'oh my goodness why did I EVER start this?! And. am I ever going to finish it?' It took me around five hours from start to finish to make the blasted thing! I'm glad that I made it, I really do like it. But I think it's going to be a VERY long time before I make another one.

This is the front

This is a side

And this is the back.

I'd like to say thank you to everyone who shares what they are working on. I'm always so inspired when I check out this board. Everyone is so talented.

hugs and love,
Marcy

Kudos to you for sticking through it... and so worth it,,, your Fairy jar house came out cute... now for the Big question,,, what will you put in it? hmmmm?

Marcy, I love your fairy jar! Way to stick it out! You have such an amazing talent. I wish I knew how to work with clay. What do you plan on putting your Mermaids Tears pendants on?

I agree Grace. Mine would have ended up in my UFO pile as well. I always find something I want to try and make and once I see it's super time consuming I get distracted and always find something else I just have to try and have to start it right away. My biggest culprit is Pinterest!!

Krista the pot holder is really pretty, almost to pretty to use!
Grace your banner is adorable, where did you get the Mickey Mouse fabric?
Marcy, the pendants and the fairy houses are too cute for words, I have not seen one like that, love it!

Denise... I found the fabric at walmart....$4.99 yd
I only needed a 1/4 yd plus 1/4 yd for the solid ones.... the flags/triangles are print on front and solid on back... the over all cost $2.50
I used bits, pieces and scraps for the trim.
