Thanks ladies! I now want to make him one in every color to match whatever he is wearing.

Grace, that makes me laugh! The Butters really do run in him! He looks exactly like me and I look just like my dad, MaryJanes brother! We have also found younger pictures of MaryJane and we can see the resemblance with my younger pictures! Those great genes really do run strong!

Love the hat AND the model!

I am working on a spinning challenge right now. We are to spin 2 oz of fiber into singles and then ply 3 together for a finished yarn. The theme is "The Last Days of Summer." I chose summer evening skies.

This is my inspiration picture --

...and here is a spindle full of single --

Very nice spun yarn Marilyn. Looking forward to seeing it done in the 3 ply. You spin so evenly. Will make a beautiful pair of socks.

I have gone slightly insane: I've signed up for a craft fair in Belle Glade, FL in early October to sell my plate flowers. I'll be sharing the table with my son, who makes vegetable oil based soaps. Last weekend I went to yard sales and a mega-thrift store for plates, cups, saucers and bowls that I'd use to make more. I have about 2 dozen now, and will need to decide how to transport them, display them, and how much to charge.
This on top of selling Hawaiian shirts on Ebay for Dachshund Rescue and a couple swaps, and regular family and work life. Maybe I like activity in my life?

Audra Rose - LOL! You are singing a song I've sung many times before! :)

I finished the last of the four flour sack towels I've been embroidering last night - will post pic soon! Made a good start on a felt hot air balloon ornament (in Christmas colors) meant as a gift this year!

Thank you Theresa and Bonnie!

Vanessa, I can relate. I have been there before, but don't you feel like you get so much more done and have a better time when life is crazy?! I almost function better when I have a lot going on! Good luck with everything.

Marilyn, your yarn is absolutely beautiful! I have a few drop spindles and a wheel, but not a Turkish spindle. I think I am going to have to try one.

OK,,, I had a major sewing jam session these past 2 days...
I have 3 lap quilts cut/stitched and ready to assemble (need the batting)...
and then I whipped out these to little frocks for my 2 grandgirlies... the girls are 5months apart in age so I used up some fabric to make these for them...

the colors are quirky and fun...

and yep,,, gotta have my yoyo deco on the dresses...
(luv having a Serger,,, it makes sewing these so fast and easy peasy).

Well, I finally finished Nessy, the Loch ness monster. My granddaughter wanted me to make it for her since I made her big brother a dinosaur. I think she's a bit skinny but she'll do. Not sure what our dog Max thinks about it. LOL!
