Brianne, those are really beautiful. Bet they will sell quickly!

Our new living room flooring is in! Looks good but still have to put things back together. While they were banging the floor in I made some "Swifter" covers. Won't be vacuuming carpet in there anymore! :) They came up 6" short in my DH's room so they will have to come back and finish later this week. I hope. :(

Ooo Brianna, those are absolutely beautiful! I bet they will sell like hot cakes!

I decided to join in and share a few things I have been working on the last 2 weeks!

These are some cowboy and cowgirl boots that I have been crocheting.

I have now started making a breast cancer awareness hot pad. Once finished I plan to gift it to my mother for her birthday.

Cute cowboy boots! And Jamie, that candle mat is great! Love fall stuff, not that big on hollowe. I've started making some little owls from scraps. Plan to give them to our fall festival at church.

Very cute owls, Judy. Love them!

Yesterday I made the two blocks for the August BOM thread in the Stitching Room. Since I am coordinator I make my blocks early so I can post them with the pattern links. We'd love to have more of you join us. August will be the 5th month and there are 2 blocks posted each month with helpful hints, chosen by different farmgirls participating. You keep your own blocks, so you will have a quilt when you have enough blocks. We have beginners and experienced quilters who are participating. Look for the new topics each month.

Farmgirl hugs,

Today I am finally getting around to the fall garland which was inspired my Winnie's posting. But it's not the garland I envisioned that day.

Yesterday while I was walking into my bank I found a dried bronze leaf - I think it might be off a Magnolia tree. It was perfect so I took it home. It will be the center of my garland ~ med size cinnamon sticks tied with orange fall fabric next on each side ~ followed by swigs of bittersweet ~ small gourds on each end. That's the top garland which will go on top china closet shelve.

The bottom shelve garland will be all cinnamon sticks tied with green fabric to pickup the color of tea set. I hope to finish both garlands tonight.

YellowRose - Those garlands sound BEAUTIFUL! Please share pics when you are done!

I finished a set of four embroidered flour sack towels for my sister for Christmas - meant to have them done last year but better late than never!

AuntJamelle those towels are adorable, I love them!

Today I finished up my first solo knitting project, it's a little green dish cloth. I'll probably post a picture after I block it because I'm so dang proud of it haha!

On the down side I also ripped out a baby blanket I've been working on because I'm not happy where it was going. My cousin is having a baby shower on 8/21 and I was hoping to have one done for her by then, but this is the second times I've frogged the project. I may end up making her just a double thick flannel blanket and burp cloth set.

I haven't been doing much of anything creative because of the need to be in the garden, doing yard work and irrigating, etc.

However, I have done some sewing in taking up some shorts and tank tops so they fit me better! That stuff isn't so fun either!

Jamie, your flour sack towels are so stinking cute! I love the far right one!

Rachel, I'm sorry you had to rip the baby blanket out. I bet no matter what you choose to make she will love it!

I am almost finished with my pot holder and will have to start some baby booties for 2 different upcoming baby showers. I need to get busy.

Thank you guys!!! They were a fun project!

I finished another item on my crafting list this weekend - a felt Autumn wreath for our bedroom this fall. Plan to hang in in the center of the mirror that sits over our bed :) The main color of the wreath looks a bit off in the pic, but it is really a chocolatey brown!

Jaime, great wreath.

I'm not working on anything today. I'm off to "feel the fabric" at our local quilt shop. They're having a big sale and I hope to find something to either have on hand or to make for the fall.
