i have been sorting buttons, but i did have an interuption on
wednesday.

izzy, our little maltese/pomeranian had her puppies.

they are all doing well, but the dad clooney really seems to be disturbed and hurt because izzy doesnt want him to crawl in the basket with her and the pups.

Oh, sister...I got so excited over Pam's creation that I forgot to mention what I have been working on today. I did a Mail-Art Project for CJ for the Sept. Breast Cancer Event that her and her daughter are
involved in. And then I worked on knitted wash clothes (sounds like we all had the same idea today). It is funny but I never use Ecru. I am a color girl! I do all my wash clothes in various colors and even like the variegated cottons too. Tonight I am also doing research for one of the Merit Badges that I am going for.

Hope you all have a Wonderful Memorial Day Wknd!

Blessings,
~peggy

Oh My Stars Frannie aren't those babies precious!
Did she just have the two? Izzy looks pretty tiny
herself, so I am guessing two was the max of her
litter. What are they...males, females or one of each?
Thanks for sharing those pictures they are just so
adorable!

I've been working on my tatting project for my beginner badge. I'm a little over halfway finished with a three-foot length of ring and chain. Think I'll use it as a border on my Sisterhood badge. I'm using #10 Ecru thread. As I practice I'm getting faster at it. Since it has been raining non-stop for the past several days and the weather report calls for more of the same, it doesn't look like there will be a chance to work in my garden this weekend. So, I may acutally be able to tat my way to the finish line this month after all!

Cheers! ~ Marilyn

Just finished this bear for a customer of mine. It is a darling quilted print ... A is for Apple, B is for Bird and C is for Cupcake. It's meant for her grandchild to be born in June.

This bear is too cute.

Butterscotch- No, the SunBonnet will be about a Twin sized. I am using a crib kit, but I want to put blank blocks and do some quilting. So it should fit her Twin bed.

I am also working on a Mile-a-Minute afghan for my Mom for Christmas.

The bear is adorable! I love how you used the bumpy textured fabric on his feet, hands and ears.

The "bumpy" fabric is called minky and it is so soft and plush. Love working with it. Thanx for the kind words Amy and Marilyn.

Sharon - That's a sweet bear! Very huggable looking.

Frannie - oh! the PUPPIES! How adorable. I am not really a dog person, but puppies get me every time. :-)

Do you take part in the re-enactment each year?

I am going to go check out your website.

I am working on the chicken scratch embroidery on my red gingham apron. I'm hoping to have the apron finished by Sunday night.

Zippity please post pics, I envy those who embroider!

We are not living history we are ghost tour guides, but I do pride myself on being accurate, I have the living history people purchase things from me while I am standing on the street. Tonight we are undersleeves, 5 sets, shouldn't be too bad, hopefully we will make some way on the first black sheer dress

You Farm Girls are so creative and productive! I've been in the garden non-stop and haven't done much in the sewing room (or in the house for that matter!) but you have inspired me! Dianne

I'm just having pure fun. Last weekend I made my first batches of goat's milk soap. I tried both a hot press and cold press variety and am quite tickled with how they turned out. So this week am figuring out what fragrances to order so that I can make more! In between, I'm re-arranging the freezer to try and organize the frozen milk. It multiplies quickly!

Today I am painting my craft/cutting table in the sewing room. It is actually 2 kitchen drawer base cabinets (24" wide). I got these at a salvage store for 20.00 each. Hubby has already cut and prepared the top out of maple for me. The top will be about 3 x 5 feet. It'll probably be next week before all the paint is done and the top is stained and finished off. I'd love to say I'm gonna finish this weekend, but I have 2/12hr shifts to work. Nothing here at home gets done on work days.:p

I do enjoy seeing everyones projects....ton of talent from our friends. I have just been working on my scrapbook of my grandson. I started off with his ultra sound pic and complete one for each year. He will be 4 in August. I love to take pictures and really love to scrapbook and he is my favorite subject!
