Ladies,
Thank you for the kind words about my silly but sweet apron. I just had to share pictures of it because I think that's the most hilarious fabric I have ever seen.

I got it from a most interesting website called "Spoonflower" - does anyone else use it? I don't even remember how I found it, but I'm glad I did.

They have an amazing array of designs that you can get on fabric (from silk to duck), gift wrap and even wallpaper. If you order anything, keep in mind the fabric is sometimes not the highest quality. I often have to either slap some interfacing on it or line it in the case of my apron.

But it is very, very fun to wander around the site searching for something that strikes your fancy and then being amazed at what they have in whatever theme you searched.

If you visit it...enjoy!

Cindy, I love Spoonflower too! Occasionally, they offer a free sample square of fabric. Have you ever sent your address for that. I think I have received 2 squares. I googled (preying mantis fabric) and up popped Spoonflower. The pattern is a little pricey but perfect for a special project! I also forwarded the site to my budding artist/designer grand daughters about a year ago. Good way to have their designs turned into reality.

I just returned from my week-long cruise (had a blast!), so now need to make the two Minions quilts quickly so I can get them to the long-arm quilter - hopefully this week.
Kat - you have sure been busy. Was this done before or after your camping trip?

Linda, so glad you had fun on your trip. Why is it that after we get back it always seems we are 3 years behind. We're supposed to relax. Lol

I'm not working on anything today but I am thinking about what it would take to make lil houses out of MJF Budget Mix pkgs. The pkgs are house shaped and the size is right.

Have any of you done it or thought about it?

Julie, when you finish the rag doll, please post a picture, I love rag dolls.
Sara, I think the hose idea would be cute and a good re use for the box.

I am furiously working on a t-shirt quilt as a surprise gift for a friend, it was her husbands idea... I'm just hoping it turns out, and I can get it done in time.

Whew! I am at the "almost finished" crafting gifts...
I made 6 quilted photo magnetic frames... and go figure,,, I wrapped up 3 of them before taking photos... so since I have not inserted photos into these 3 and wrapped them,,, I can post a picture.

the black & white one goes to a friend in Sacramento,,, while the other one is going to Pennsylvania.

this one goes to a good friend in Idaho,,, a gal who luvs to horse around...lol!

now to print up 4x6 photos to insert into the little tabs.
(I make a small slit in the back, insert the strip magnet and then use fabric glue to mend the slit.)
On the back side I inserted strip magnets...so these lil frames will stick to the Refridg.
This is a fairly easy peasy project and a great way to use up bits of fabrics.

I love that magnetic picture frame idea, Kat. Not sure I'll have time to make some this year, but I will definitely use that idea. In fact, I need a small handmade gift for my small quilt group Christmas swap and this might just fit the bill. Now all I need to do is find my magnetic strip roll - I know I have some SOMEwhere.

I love those frames, Grace.

Do you make the Raggedy Ann/Andys Diana? My mother used to make and sell them. I still have only a few of hers left. She could stuff them without leaving cellulite on their bodies. LOL! If I stuff them, they are very lumpy. LOL!

I took Ed's Christmas present quilt to the long arm quilter today. I should have it back on Tuesday so I can sew the binding on and wrap it. I'll take a picture and post it then. I hope he likes it. :-)
