I have just completed a pair of "yoga pants" for my daughter in navy and white striped stretch jersey. They have turned out better than I expected but have inspired me to write the Sewist's Creed on my blog: http://mumtopia.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/the-sewists-creed.html#.URab0x26flY br /
Can anyone else relate?

Something I was working on , on this stormy day. Is these lovely Hot Matt or Pot Holders. They were lots of fun doing up and great way to use up your scraps of material.
I also sell this on my blog.

I'm making my first MaryJane apron, the "Holiday Apron" from (I think) 2009, which is so pretty. Hope mine turns out like that. Earlier this month I made some oven mitts completely out of scraps and old material, if you'd like to see them? I blogged about them here: http://mumtopia.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/no-thumbs-no-frills-no-spend-oven-mitts.html#.URqrkB26flY

The making of my "Farmgirl Sister" Train case . . . it WAS a shade of green that I did NOT like. Used fabric and ribbon.

CJ, I just love it!!! I have a couple of those cases and someday will copy your idea, if that is okay? I am crocheting a cowboy hat, and hoping it turns out the way I want it to.

Hey, go for it! If you want to know more about what I used and how, let me know. It took quite a bit of time . . lots of drying stages!
I'm fixing to do another one too, only different fabric! :D

ps. Putting the finishing touches on your smash book. Hopefully will get in the mail by Saturday morning.
I want to make sure all of the embellishments are dry, and I still need to pick up a couple more things to add to it.

Here is your sneak peak. LOL!

Emily,
You can do a train case . . . fabric, ribbon, all kinds of adhesive and Mod Podge. I just finished another one . . . but I can't show pics of it for a while!
Takes some time, but it's fun!
Thanks for the compliments!

Kristina, wonderful idea for the bookmark. Love it and will give it a try. Nice little gift for someone who still reads books. Or I'll just make a bunch for me to enjoy for each book I'm reading. Thanks so much for the idea. I have tons of embroidery floss to use up.

today is a day of cleaning and working on my Knitting, yes I said knitting. Something heppened and I got the hang of the cast on and the Knit, finally only about 18 years in the making. I also am going to dive into some felting and tatting after this. My DH bought me the stuff to do it, I just have to get around to doing it, after the knitting beginners badge. I will post a picture.

BTW it must have been some divine intervention because I was at the yarn store and couldn't put down this bright yellow skein of yarn, I just had to have it, something told me, you will learn to knit with this.

I have finally completed a few projects since my house fire in October, most recently was this little water lily doily from the current issue of Crochet World,it was cute and quick though mine is super ruffly in comparison to the pattern picture,I must have worked my stitches too tight!
Once I got that done I worked the vintage pineapple doily in just one day,my nerves were wrecked so I wanted something simple and repetitive then i ran out of the antique white I was working with and chose to edge it in bridal blue, not what I originally wanted but it's too far to drive to town to buy thread so I just made do with what I had.
I love all the projects you ladies posted,I'm getting caught up again after a little more time offline while we located a place to rent and got moved in.
Bridgette I love your little bunny and CeeJay I always love your projects, you are so creative and make things so beautiful!
I've been working on an old vintage pattern for a pineapple table runner that is turning out too big for the dresser I wanted it for but I am so eager to get it done,I will post some pictures when it's done or at least when I turn out a full row of the pineapples on it and it starts to look like something more than rows of chains and shells.
