Ashley, I LOVE your fuzzy halter and leash. I don't know how in the world you are able to stitch with that fuzzy yarn. I've tried and keep getting my stitches lost, but your creations are great!!

I decided to do something a little different then stockings on the mantle.... I used 'pillow ticking' fabric and bits of scrap trim.
Now to find some goodies to tuck in to them.

Paula, Thank you and it is hard to stitch with that yarn but it turns out so great. I have to keep going and be very careful when I am making them so as not to lose my stitch.

Grace, Thank you he is a lucky pony and if you are interested I sell them on my etsy site.

Wow, such beautiful work everyone! I have two jackets to sew together for Ric, a sweater to finish for MIL, a crocheted beret for Ric's aunt, baby booties for my friend Jenna...good thing I won't be celebrating with my own clan until closer to New Year's!

And why, WHY did I wake up this morning and want to make Ric a new hat on top of everything else???

Putting my last Vintage Feedsack Retro apron in the mail today to go to a friend's mother for her birthday. Waiting for a customer to come pick up three she ordered, one for herself (the grandma) and two for her granddaughters . . so they can cook together.

Have four collage aprons and three regular bibs on my list. I'm TICKLED PINK for the orders and glad they don't all have to be done for Christmas!

Gonna work on ATCs today . . . time for a little papercrafting!
CJ

BTW: I just LOVE to come here and see everything you girls are doing. Such BEAUTY!! Such TALENT!!! Such CREATIVITY!!! Wouldn't it be fun to put us all together in a Farmgirls Country Fair!!

Well school is out for me for 3 weeks. I got to spend the day in my sewing room. I finished up one project and am working on a few others. Here is what I finished.

And here is a little postcard almost finished.

I love to see all the creativity here!

Later for now.

Just finished up a pincushion for a friend at work with an odd sense of humor. (I guess that means I also have an odd sense of humor to make this.) It is a little...might we say....voodoo different.

I was having trouble figuring out something more sentimental for my daughter-in-law for Christmas. As I was doing some cleaning up I ran across a bag she gave me a while back of her deceased grandpa's ties. I told her I was interested in doing some upcycle crafting with men's neckties but never got around to it. I have deconstructed the ties and washing them now. I'll cut them into squares and do a patchwork quilted pillow. Hope it turns out well. I wasn't very confident as they were polyester which I'm not fond of, but I think it will work out ok and definitely something she'll appreciate. There was a white tie in the mix so going to do a little white angel ornament for her tree as a remembrance. Will post pics when completed.

Great idea for a gift Anita. I was making memorial patchwork framed pictures for my granddaughter's friends a couple years ago. They were made from her t~shirts, skirts and hoodies which were all knits. I found it helpful to iron on lightweight heat 'n bond on the backs before cutting out the pieces.

Hi! I'm in the kitchen today after realizing a large sack of potatoes half used may not make it to the new year. Gladly after checking they were still firm and hadn't sprouted yet. So, I baked 14 large potatoes and am waiting for them to cool a bit, so I can turn them into twiced baked potatoes. Wrapping them up for freezer storage and they will all make it into the new year and onto the dinner table. I will serve up some of these as a side at our Christmas Eve meal too.

I'm finished up a dishcloth for a Christmas present today. Yesterday I canned more jelly for gifting, and will hopefully be making granola for gifting. I just have to check my pantry.
