beautiful Kristina!

I'll be finishing up a few ufos. I have a bad habit of putting down projects because I see a new pattern or yarn and want to start something new. Or I get a paid order from someone, and neglect to finish my stuff. So now I have little bags of half finished stuff everywhere! Time to buckle down, focus, and finish things. My home and my head well be a lot less cluttered!

Kristina, I love the shawl!! What beautiful work. What's next on your list? I agree with Shanda, I am really trying hard to finish one thing before I start another, but it is so hard!

Thanks ladies. There are two more on my list - a knitted block blanket, and a braided rag rug.

I finished this rug a few weeks ago, made from t-shirt fabric crocheted. The shawl I finished Saturday, it is knitted, took me 3 weeks.

Janet, that shawl looks just like a big moth. It's so pretty. I have a bag full of t-shirts I need to cut up and make some rugs too. Just gotta get started.

I started working on an afghan for our bedroom. I want to paint the walls that blue color and get some white tap top curtains. Then use blue, white and chocolate brown pillows and accents. I need to get my old chair recovered in these colors too.

For me, it's been the usual ATCs (Valentine themed) and APRONS of all kinds for orders, for a local country store and for a local indoor farmers market.

I really like your triangle shawls, Janet. I have wanted to make one for the longest time. Maybe if I think of it as 1/2 of the simple knitted dishcloth and make it really big it would work. Hmmm. I love your rug too. I saved a rug of my mom's just to have a sample of that era. (a lot like yours). Now, I find I want to make them also.

lol, Peggy, I was wondering if you were going to spot that scotty. Isn't it adorable?! Gracie, you do such a great job!

Deb, that soap even looks soft and silky. I, too, was wondering if you sell it.

You did a beautiful job on your little scotty. He is so cute!
I think they are such sweet, but mischievious little fellows.

It is fun to all the pretties everyone is working on.

Grace, I love your Scotty!!! He is super cute <3

Here is what I was working on yesterday. It was my niece's birthday so I made her a pair of these super cute fingerless lace gloves. Lace is all the rage lately so I hope she, as a 16 year old, likes them :)

Siobhan...I think a 16 year old will love those. I haven't seen many with the Lacy Affect
but I think they are fabulous and so sweet looking! Do you get the Jane Austin Knitting
Magazine? It looks like something they would feature in that Magazine. Beautiful!

blessings,
peggy

Thanks Peggy! I do not get that magazine, but I was going for a Victorian type look when I switched out the pattern's garter stitch cuff for this picot bind off. I thought it would be prettier :)

I just finished this afghan for my DH last night. It wasn't until I looked at this picture that I realized that one of the strips is sewn in upside down!
I am laughing it off and calling it artistic flair! Ha ha! All that is important is that Hubby can snuggle up and enjoy all the love I put into it.

Siobhan,
If I were 16, I'd LOVE those beautiful fingerless gloves! GORGEOUS!!

Tracy,
If you hadn't said anything I wouldn't have noticed, but go with artistic flair. I made an apron for my daughter with directional strawberry print and, I got part of the strawberries upside down. I just said it was for the benefit of my daughter, the wearer!

Scotty, I have swooned!

Today I am working on some new diapers for my Wills, his old reusables got too small and we needed to rethink the pattern. I am really proud of version 2.0

I had to quickly make one up for my blog tonight and here it is.

I typed up directions and uploaded a free pattern here http://simpileeliving.blogspot.com/2013/01/diaper-pattern-and-directions.html
