Just finished, painting, varnishing, faces for my necktie angels.
This is a picture of all the heads lined up ready to be put on necktie bodies.

I will post pictures of the finished angels when they are complete.

Hugs!

Thank you ladies! Both my sister-in-law and my mother-in-law are avid cat lovers. Sara adopted a second kitty this summer who is one wild girl, and Sara jokes about Marilyn plotting to kill her (cat lover humor). So I stitched the little skele-kitty into the pocket of her bag. Her mother, my mother-in-law, is a true blue cat lover, so I thought this kitty cameo would be fitting.
I had no idea how the kitty cameo bag was going to look two days ago, but I gritted my teeth, whipped out the pencil and doodle paper and came up with this. I like the size of the bag. Once I stop making things for other people (never gonna happen), I might make one for myself!!

I'm working on some seat covers for our ladder back dining chairs. The seats are made of binding twine (according to my father-in-law) and are worn. I decided to come up with a pattern and use fabric I have on hand to cover them up until I teach myself how to repair them. I'll post a picture tomorrow.

If we truly get snowed in today, I will be breaking out those scraps of fabric from CJ, to get a start on next year's ornaments. I'm too busy from May-October to work on them.

I was busy today, I put new pockets on my old jeans since they had holes in them, made two loaves of bread, finished a crib sized baby blanket (ripple pattern), made a cherry pie and am now surfing the net. Oh yah, I also had ATT come out to look at our cable box and replace it today. Now what to do tomorrow?

God bless,

Judy

Sharing info about my recent bags, since I've gotten a few questions:

Here is a link to the crocheted market bag pattern. It was a freebie from Lion Brand yarn company.
http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/L20064.html?utm_source=20121130_Nov30
I used an acrylic yarn and inserted a lining, and of course picked my own colors.

The pattern for the other bag with the kitty cameo is my own creation. The kitty cameo embroidery design came from Urban Threads.

Enjoy!!

This was my last project for the year. I forgot to post it earlier. I made a beer carrier for my son for Christmas. The ends are shaped like a beer bottle, and it holds six 20 ounce bottles. It's all cherry wood, but I stained the ends in red mahogany so that it would look like a beer bottle.

Phyllis . . very clever and I'll bet your son loved it.!

I'm back to being an "apronista", finished three of my "Linens & Lace" Collage aprons for custom orders, making another one today for a friend here in town and three more bibs for orders. I'll post pics of the collage aprons when their owners receive them.

It's snowing and we have no plans to go anywhere . . so I'll sew!
HAPPY NEW YEAR Girls!

This is the fourth "LINENS & LACE" Collage Apron I've finished in the last few days. One of my best apron customers was given the crocheted basket with two coasters inside of it by her husband (they were from a relative of his). She asked me to take them and make them into a collage apron for her. The basket is sewn on in such a manner that it is also the pocket . . so add an embroidered pillowcase, table napkin, ribbon, buttons and eyelet ruffle . . . this is what I made for her.
Thanks for letting me share!
