I would if I had a fireplace, Charlotte! It would be really nice here at work because they won't turn on the heat--and it snowed today.

These little guys were having so much fun frolicking in the snow that they were not watching where they were going, collided and ended up on top of one another. This was a little frustrating to make, but I do love how it came out. This clay sculpting is getting way too addictive.

I'm crocheting scarves with yarn scraps. They will be donated to those in need this winter, and many will be sent to a farmgirl in NJ.

Decided to try to make a reuseable totebag from a dogfood bag. I don't think I'll be making a "habit" out of this but perhaps once in a while I'll do it.
The bag is slippery and doesn't feed through the machine very easily and I didn't want to take the time to do something that would help.
But, for anyone watching? Something probably could be said for the entertainment value!

I made one of those dog food tote bags a few years ago. I agree - difficult to sew on the machine.

Thanks for the comment on my scarves.

I'm thinking this bag will be the "Glamper Dog" tote for Bramble's food, treats and such for when she goes glamping.

Excellent idea. We can't camp with our dogs. Once one of them swiped the fish while hubby was cleaning it, and once one of them escaped out of the tent by pushing the zipper up with his nose.

My dog food tote bag is my 13 year-old's library bag. She gets comments a lot, but I'd rather give out the directions than make another one -ha ha!

For you ladies that are trying to sew feed bags, my friend uses a very old, very sturdy machine to sew hers. She says that machine will sew saddle leather.

And, speaking of dogs . . .
I made some aprons for a customer that is a dog print, with sweet doggie faces all over it. I know this is corny but guess what color the bias and rick-rack trim is called? "BARK" . . .fitting don't you think.

I just couldn't resist . . .

Just finished making jean pockets for the Holiday Kitchen Jean Pocket w/Recipes swap. This is NOT the one I made for my swap partner. I made this one for my daughter . . . decided to make her one while I was making them.
Was a TON of fun!

Beeeeeeeeeeeeautiful work CeeJay! Love it! Robin will love it!

You are so creative and talented in your craft. You are a toatal
inspiration to all of us farmsisters. We just love you to pieces.

I love Brambles tote as well. Lucky little furry four legged family
member. You are about Bramble like I am my little fancy pants yorkie.
She is spoiled to the core. And yes, I have no one to blame but
my little old self. LOL!

Love ya,

I took a class for embroidery machines that was put on my a local fabric store...
Most of the gals sewed their motif with metallic thread.... I used verigated rayon thread,,, just to be different.

We stitched on organza silk and framed it with Duponi silk....

P-pot holder
E-earrings
A-Apron
C-candle, chocolate cherry cordial
E- english breakfast & earl grey tea
along with other fun goodies.

Hi Ladies,I haven't been online and here for awhile, good to see you ladies are all still crafting away and making beautiful things!
I've suffered a very serious setback to my sewing and crocheting,on october 21st we had a house fire that burned our whole house completely down,,I was in my 38th week of pregnancy,we lost everything,my four cats died in the fire and I lost all my handwork, quilts and antiques and I don't know when i'm going to get back to stitching again,I was working on handquilting the big nine patch I made while my Husband was in Iraq but that burned too :)
The good news is that Jonathan Wayne was born on November 9th after running a week overdue so I thought I would post a picture of him as my newest finished project :)

Kathryn,
First of all, I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO sorry for the trauma and loss of your fire. Trust me, I KNOW EXACTLY how that is as we went through that in July 1994 . . . terribly traumatizing. I wasn't pregnant and I can't imagine trying to deal with that kind of loss and be about to give birth. Gracious!
There are many things that you just cannot replace and I'm eternally grateful our children no longer lived at home and no one was hurt.

CONGRATULATIONS on your little man . . .what a handsome fellow! New life! New beginnings! CONGRATULATIONS!
