I know most of you are textile artists, but I got some pieces back from the kiln today and they turned out so well I have to show them off :D. These are both mid sized mugs, one with a sgraffito giraffe and one with a little birdie thumb rest.

Here's a couple crochet projects I wrapped up yesterday and today,I got my Daughter to model this choker for me,it's an Irish crochet rose and Venetian crochet motifs together,I've made it a few times in various colors but think I like this one best and the doily is another pattern I have made a couple times, the last one was in solid black, this one is cream colored, the design is called "Summer Blush" by Kathryn White from the book "Irish Beauty Doilies".

Rachel, those are so nice! The woman that sets up next to me at the Farmer's Market, sells pottery. I have a bowl from her. They are food safe, which makes it so nice.

I have a daughter that would go nuts over that giraffe mug. What and where do you sell them (if you do sell your pottery)?

Rachel, those are lovely!

CJ, love the journals!

Kathryn, oh. My. Gosh. I love Irish crochet, although my hands tremble too much for thread work. Those are breathtaking!

Making scarves for holiday gifts today. No idea what to make Ric other than socks. Ack!

Today I worked on my natural dye swatch book, and baked up a storm. Baking is good therapy, especially on a rainy day. I am about to go knit. Have a good night!

Kathryn, your crocheting is absolutely beautiful, as usual!!

Rachel, your ceramics are adorable,I love the little birdie mug. CJ,I think your journals are wonderful and plan on checking out your etsy page next. Kathryn, I love seeing irish crochet in interesting forms, like your choker. My sister and I were wondering, in a doiley, how do you arrange objects on the doiley? Or is the doiley itself the object to be displayed?
For me, I have a bad habit of starting a project and never finishing it. In the past 3 days, I finished a hair scarf, an afghan and a winter scarf. YEAH!!!!So now I can start an Italian Flag afghan for my son. He has been asking for one, it will be for Christmas. Craft on... Jenne

Emily Anna,
I'd love to make an apron . . . and yes, I do make them from fabric the customer supplies as well.

Jennie,
I have to apologize, in a big, way for the LACK of items in my Etsy shop. I have been blessed with very successful sales of my "Farm Fresh Aprons" at the local Farmers Market. When that is in season I'm VERY BUSY keeping up with that and, sadly, my Etsy ahop gets neglected.
However, I do hope to have more things listed there once I get finished with the Market season and early Christmas Bazaars.
And, if you are interested in anything in particular please email me because I'm happy to do custom/special orders on anything.

Thanks girls!
BTW: Another great day of sales today at Market!! Two more Saturdays to go!

CJ it sounds like your farmer's market sales are exploding, good for you, your aprons are wonderful so it's not surprising that they sell so well!
Thanks ladies for the compliments on my crochet,I find lately I have alot of time on my hands so have been spending alot of time crocheting and sewing.
Jenne you can display doilies any way that you like, alone or with items such as candy dishes,candles,vases,etc..some of them, like the cream doily I just posted or alot of dimensional Irish crochet ones have raised areas that you have to arrange your items around while the flat round doilies are most ideal for thing you would not want to tip over.
I have a huge ruffled doily on my table right now that my Grandma crocheted with my pumpkin candy dish in the center,it looks real nice when my evil kitten Tiddles isn't mauling it *sigh* :)

CJ, It's great that your aprons are doing so well at your market. You gotta take advantage of the summer season while you can! I am still learning my way around Mary Jane's Farm and loving every minute of it, so I will be checking back when I can. Everyone here is so creative and talented!
Kathryn, thank you for the advice. I love the doilies and will try one soon. Tomorrow my sewing machine arrives!!! When my children were young, I made so many clothes and things for the house. But I was sidetracked. So here I go again. I was so amazed when I fould MJF. These are all the things I had been doing for years and had no idea there were so many others. So glad to be here!!

This morning before work I finished the last couple rows of my crochted sleeve to put on my sleeveless denium shirt. I am not sure I like how the arm hole shaping turned out so I will see how it fits tonight. I may have to rework some of it.
