“I don't have any local flower farms in our area so I took Alyssa to a local nursery to look at the flowers they have there and they said they ship in the flowers within our zone areas so anything we bought from them would be fine to plant at home. Then we looked at the different kinds of honey bees in a hive the worker the drones in the Queen and their different jobs and then we learn how honey was collected in my local honey is the best they do have their own beehive in their backyard and they have collected their own honey from their bees. It was fun.”

“Alyssa went to the local food bank to volunteer and spoke with the manager Tim. He didn't need any extra help today so we will be going back next week. While we were there, Tim had the kids break down the cardboard boxes from the food pantry, put them in the dumpster and stomp down the cardboard. The kids look forward to going back to volunteer again. It was fun.”

“Theron started a journal on Insects. In the journal, he was to make a list of some of the ways that insects help. The insects eat the bugs that hurt the plants. They clean up waste. They pollinate the plants. They help with the environment. He loved doing this.”

“Theron went into the front yard and looked under the bushes and rocks for insects. When we went our hike for trash cleanup, he looked for insects again. He found bees. Ladybugs, butterflies, and ants. He wrote down what she saw. He liked looking for insects.”

“We went on the internet to look up the names to be sure we had the right name. We did find out that the lizard he saw was not an insect. He kept track of what he learned. He liked looking at all the different insects.”
