Well now Julie, that was a fun trip down memory lane. I learned to waltz to "Jolie Blon". I was a mere 24 or 25. LOL Ok gals, it's cool enough to start sliding a needle, is there room at the quilt frame? Tina from down in Dry Prong sent me bottles of Cajun hot sauce so I brought some gumbo, fried catfish, dirty rice and beans. I hope ya'll are hungry!!
Marly come on over, I brought Latin coffee and chicory to make you a pot of my kinda coffee.

Smiles, Melody June

We actually have no snow and no freezing temperatures. Sunshine today and tomorrow. But on our farmgirl porch the weather is always perfect. Join us girls.

See? That's all part of the fun out here on the virtual porch. I'm with Melody June and Nan. Just what is it exactly that I'm eating, Dawn? I"m thinking I like the chocolate suicide best, but if what I just ate are the bunny foo foos, I definitely want THAT recipe!!! Ooh, Dawn. Can you stay and be my regular chef?

Hey ladies! Something really exciting is happening in my life, but I can't really say anything about it yet until it is a "For-sure" thing. But cross our fingers for me that it comes through!

Julie,
I was just thinking that I could use a cup of hot tea, a quilt and a porch swing and of course girl talk. My heart is full as all the boys are home this week. I am enjoying just sitting still and listening to all the noise, laughter and shenanigans.. trying to tattoo it all onto my heart so that I can call it up when they head back to their perspective homes, until next time. Even though we still have two boys at home, there is nothing like having them all here, and it seems that the time is going way to fast before they have to leave again. So, I see myself wrapped up on the porch taking it all in with sisters who "get it" or can at least imagine it all with me.

Circumstances made us FRIENDS; MaryJanesFarm made us SISTERS :)

Thanks ladies! I have some work to do before I can even take the next step towards the good news- but I should be able to spill the beans in couple weeks.

Rene- I can only imagine! Don't you sometimes wish that our family could be our neighbors so we could see everyone every day?

HAHA! Okay, I started a Whoopie Pie business and its taken off like mad. Bunny Foo Foo's are carrot cake with cream cheese filling in the middle. I add some nutmeg to the cake batter to liven up the carrot taste. Chocolate Suicides are dark chocolate cake with a hot fudge buttercream filling in the middle. I'm a choco-holic and this is almost too rich for my blood! Almost..... you can see my whole line on my website. Today I made SAVE THE TA-TA'S...they are pink with pink filling for Breast Cancer Month. I go to sleep dreaming of whoopie flavors. And yes, I'm gettin paid to make whoopie! LOL!
I'd love to cook for you Julie!!

Dawn- No no no! LOL And it wasn't the flu this last time it was pneumonia. Just normal winter nasties that seemed to creep up earlier this year.

No my good news is more OUTSIDE the house than INSIDE the house. Will up date ya'll as soon as I can though!

Oh girls! I thought our vitural porch came with no calories. ho, ho. My real porch is a greenhouse for some of our bonsai; those that can't go below freezing in the winter. More bonsai inside and the hardy to Minnesota ones outside. Our water plants are inside also. Our koi are inside in the pond and he made another small pond for the goldfish with a fountain coming out of the top. It's hard to sit on a porch when your plants have invaded. But seriously, I love it on the porch with you farmgirls. Then I can show off my farmagirl necklace. They are soooo cute.
