Good Morning Porchies:
Glad to read everyone is well and enjoying adventures, trials and tribulations of life, keeps us all on our toes!

Sabrina, glad you are home safely, I remember those flights from many years ago when we were in the military, long, long flights and once you are back in Germany it takes so long to catch on your sleep and get back into your routine with the time difference. Where in Germany are you stationed? We were stationed in the Stuttgart area in the 1980's and 1990's and in the 1970's near Wurzburg. Loved living in Germany and we missed it, and would love to go back one day but that will probably not happen. Oh well.

Spent all day in town yesterday with doctor appointments and grocery shopping, had to get goodies for the Super bowl on Sunday. We are so looking forward to the game and a down day! Hoping to that our BRONCOS win as my heart tells me Peyton is retiring:-(

Peggy, I have really been struggling with getting my 10,000 steps a day too and not sure why. Have not been feeling like myself so I have been lazy!

Ladies have a beautiful, fabulous and blessed weekend. If you are watching the game on Sunday enjoy and GO BRONCOS!

Hugs,
Deb

Deb, I have been good but entirely too busy. Needing to make a change in my job situation but can't figure out what to do. I have made some major changes in my diet and health due to a couple of diagnosis. The stress I am feeling with my current job situation is not helping my health but while I CAN retire, if I can hold out two more years my retirement income will be twice as much-Sabrina will say that will not do me much good if I am dead!

Thank you Deb. It was quite a surprise to lose them both within the same 24 hour period. My uncle married dads sister 13 days after mom and dad married in 1959. I was born on their first anniversary.

WECOME BACK SYLVIA!!! And you're Sabrina's mom...how Wonderful! She will tell you that she gets
rather Mothered on The Porch too. She is one very energetic young lady...but we all love her to
pieces! And Yes, isn't it Fabulous that she is Farmgirl Of The Month? ~ I too am very sorry for
your losses! I just went through that last year and I have asked the God Lord to give me a break
this year. 3 Family members gone in 2 months, 2 of them just 8 days apart and then in the late
part of the year our Neighbor who was a wonderful Christian Man. So, my hubby and I just are
delighting in our children and Grand-children this year and trying not to miss out on any family
time that we have left on this earth.

Judith...hope you had a lovely Vacation time girl! How are the grand-daughter and great-grand-daughter?
Today we went to my son's for a Family Superbowl Party and I got to love on my little Savannah Grace and
Elijah! They warm my heart to know end. And Elijah sees me more than Grandpapa so he talked about Grandpa
coming over for the last 3 days. He just loves Larry and his other Grandpa too. He is all about the men!
So, I know if you are like me...you came home with your heart feeling very full and blessed!

Deb...I am glad I am not the only one who is feeling a bit like a slug the past week. Everyday I worked
out I felt like it took all my energy just to put one foot in front of the other. I'm hoping this week
will be better. And then I took the SuperBowl off from watching my calories. Whatever my kids fixed I ate
and enjoyed it! And told myself NOT to feel guilty. Tomorrow...I'm right back on Program! I won't let
Satan make me feel like I blew-it because I am doing really good considering where I was even a month ago.
I hope you are feeling better...I know you had some intestinal stuff going on. That will make anyone feel
like a slug. So, back to cheering each other on to greater heights this week! (+:

Well, My Team won the Superbowl so I am a Happy Girl too!!! It was a good game and even the Half Time
Show was half way decent this year other than Beyounce's one song...which I was told had dirty words in it but with all the noise I couldn't hear the lyrics anyway. My grandson loves Bruno Mars so he sang and danced along with him. LOL

Off to finish my Valentine's so I can get them out tomorrow.

Hugs and Delight,
Peggy

Glad to see the porch is buzzing. Feel like I get out of sync sometimes.
I love to see other Moms/daughters on the farm. Both my girls are here. I have one of them doing the badges with me.

Oh look mom is on the porch! :) Yes, Peggy does her best to keep me from over-doing it!

Traveling has hit me hard. I'm pretty much writing off this week and the rest of February for that matter. Well I'll spend the time catching up as I can but won't be starting anything new!! Except for Dan's birthday present which I started in the car while the girls were at ballet (a crocheted dragon blanket). Gotta make the best of the time!

Sabrina, your mom and I have met, I love her to death, she is a great lady! I have met your Dad too, what a character, he went antiquing with the 3 farmgirls, your mom, me and Marilyn (moountainmama). He was so nice and alot of fun. Hope to see them again one day.

Denise, you have 2 daughters on the farm? I know of Justine but who is the other?

Isn't the Porch just great? So much fun and the Porchies awesome, I am happy to be back here with all of you!

Peggy-I am taking it slow and easy I PROMISE!!! :)

I really haven't done much since getting back and I'm not making myself do anything that isn't absolutely necessary this week. I'm also only having the kids do minimal school and rest a lot. We are really just focusing on recovering. My fibro has reared its ugly head. I am fine 90% of the time. I have worked hard to control it through diet, suppliments, and energy budgeting (may not seem like it but I'm very careful about energy and physical activity). But I guess all the moving around, not sleeping well and lugging luggage all over airports got to me. Luckily this is also Dustin's "slow" (relatively) week at work. (Slow meaning he works 10 hour days instead of 14 hour days....). The only thing we have to do this week is CC and then we don't have anything until next wednesday for CC but after that all the regular activities resume. So it should give me a chance to rest.

I would rest better if the baby would sleep!! We had just transitioned him from our bed to his crib before the trip, we were ALMOST over the hump of him sleeping decently in there when we had to leave. During the trip it was easier for me to just keep him in bed with me but now he wants nothing to do with his crib. He has been waking up every 30 minutes-1 hour ALL NIGHT. Exhausting. Last night I had to just get really stubborn and not get him up. He would cry and stand up in his crib, I'd go in, lay him back down and pat him a couple times then walk away. 10-15 minutes later we would repeat that process. BUT once he finally went to sleep he slept for 2.5 hours then another 2.5. Doesn't sound like much but after several nights of getting up every hour it was glorious! LOL I think he is getting it. I hope he is getting it. I'll just have to stick with that plan for a while I guess.

Sabrina...good for you Girl! Rest when you can because it sounds like your little man is not happy
being back in his crib. It sure doesn't take much to get them off kilter does it? I am praying he
gets re-adjusted to his crib.

Linda...I got my Tea Package today!!! Yum...one of my favorite teas was in there too. I don't want
to be a spoiler so I wont mention which one. Thanks for the card and Tuck also!!!

OK...I accepted a Fitbit Challenge from a gal I use to have in my Bible Study Group. This is a week
long Challenge to try and hit 10,000 steps everyday. I won't make it all 7 days because I only walk
6 days a week. But today *drum roll please* I walked 12,255 steps just under 5 miles, and 22 flights
of stairs. I couldn't believe it. Wish me luck the next 5 days...I'm going to need it...as I came in
second out of 7 gals. These are all younger women than me...like in their 40's compared to my 60's.

More Later Girlies,
Peggy

Good Morning Porchies~
It is 5am, I have a blazing fire in the wood stove, an the doggies in my lap asleep and all is quiet in the house, oh life is good!

Sabrina: I hope your fibro settles soon I do know and understand about what you go through it as my hubby has it. With 4 little ones it is hard to get the rest you need, take advantage of the down time you have now. Your little guy will get it he is almost there:-) Keeping you in my heart and thoughts!

Peggy: Girl you have been busy with your walking and past me right up! Congrats Sweet Peggy on over 12,000 steps, easier than you think right?
At the moment with all that is going on in my life with hubby I am doing the best that I can. That is all I can say:-) oh and never any weird messages on fit bit.
Oh yes we are so proud and happy of our BRONCOS and Peyton, it was such a great game! I will miss Peyton next year should he decide to retire.

Hugs,
Deb

So, I didn't order enough yarn for Daniel's b-day present....I need to go on hobby lobby and order more (It is no dye lot, and ya know, for a 1 year old so I'm not worried about that!). Thinking I need 2skeins of the 2 colors....should I get 3 just in case?? I'm also trying to think of anything else I need from hobby lobby right now....since I'm ordering....lol :).

I'm making this: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/snap-the-hooded-dragon-blanket

If I have time I'd like to make this: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/crochet-dinosaur-puzzle

and/or this: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/smaug-the-african-flower-dragon

I think it would be fun for them to be all the same colors...but maybe that would be boring :)

Sabrina, That dragon blanket is so sweet! I've run across it on Ravelry too. The dragons are adorable! I'd love to see pics of anything you finish.

I not good at anticipating how much yarn I need. I usually end up buying more than I need. That is my stash!

UUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! I just typed a big response and it flew away to computer land! I don't have time to type it all but here's the important part:

I have a beef brisket in the oven and I'm off to make a loaf of homemade bread if anyone wants to stop in for supper :)

Heather...I'm coming for dinner!! Sounds really really yummy!
Don't you just hate it when you type your brains out and then the Computer
gets hangry and eats it???? Oh, that is so frustrating.

Debbie...I do not think it is easy to walk that many steps. It was hard work!
I am waiting for this all to become easier for me. And I am not losing the weight
either. My body is re-configuring it's figure (LOL) but I haven't lost even a lb in
two weeks. How can a person NOT lose weight when you consistently eat 500 calories
less than you are allowed per day and then on top of that walking at least triple what you
were per day???? All I can say is it must be from the meds I take. Or I am going to
drop half my body one day as I look down and say "Hey, where did I go?" It is Crazy!
I am not dilutional enough to think I am going to hit 10,000 every day in this Challenge
either. But I have to say the Challenges do Motivate me.

Sabrina...please show pictures when you get Daniel's blanket done. I always over buy yarn...
and I have tons of it as my back up stash just like Judith. I guess that is half the fun
of yarn shopping having left overs for smaller projects in the future.

Well, girls I guess I should get dressed and go walk the dog. I am almost done with a really
good Audible Book called "Amok" (like run amok) by Sebastian Fitzek...and can't wait to listen
to the last little bit while I walk. It has been a thrill ride of a read with twists and turns
and just when you think you know who the bad guys are...you find you're wrong (and I read so
much I'm rarely wrong) so I love that aspect of this book. It takes place in the UK and Germany
and various other Countries.

Have A Beautiful Day! Find Something Challenging to do to add
some spice to your life!

hugs,
peggy
