Dawn - if you promise to let at least a couple others use the bathtub, I promise you'll get another chance. Try using that flannel bathrobe over there in the mean time. It is very warm and very snuggly. By the way -- I'm glad you showed back up. I was getting ready to send the cavalry! Linda, I'm glad you're back on this porch, too. How's the BP? Keep us posted. I hope it settles down and behaves itself real soon. And I love the pictures!!!!! I just made a batch of fresh poochie treats, so here. Give a few to Twiggy. Ladies? I found some wonderful wool throws, anybody want one? It's not really cold outside, but this blasted rain makes it seem so. Ooh! Annika! This is some fabulous gingerbread! Thank you thank you for bringing it!!! And yes. As long as it's friendly and fun, we share anything we want or need to here on the porch. But, uh, no. We do not want to see pictures of Dawn in the bubble bath. That's why I put the screen up on that end of the porch!!!!!!!

You said it wasn't cold there so I had to look to see where we are! lol
I thought it was 25 degrees like the Eastern PA weatherman says... but I'll take Louisiana weather in late December instead! no blankie for me thanks :-)

I am so pleased to be able to share some time with you. Only thing I had packed with me was some brie cheese and some sharp Cougar Gold from Pullman Washington. Let's have it as appetizers, and I'll grab a blanket. Since it is snowing and we will get around 9 inches, I really want to cuddle up but be the first to wish you a very Happy 2010 New Year. May it bring with it the promise of good things to come for all of you.

Is there room for another chair on the porch in the new year? :) I have an excellent white wine that should go well with Claudia's Brie. :D

I've had a lot of distractions this past year and am enjoying spending today focusing on my goals to improve 2010 for our family.

I hope wherever you all are, you are safe and warm and content. ;)

April, I've been sitting thinking what would be the best resolution for me to make also. I can always claim the diet and exercise one, but you intrigued me when you said you were focusing on goals to improve 2010 for your family. Do you have any that you would like to share? I have been thinking much the same thing...generalized though...and not specific. Maybe you could give me some ideas.

Hi Claudia~

Time accountability is going to be a bigger priority with me. ;) I want to feel when I slip into bed at night that I've been more productive and have left a tangible trail of accomplishments behind me. Some days it doesn't feel like I've done diddly, and I feel like a slug LOL! Specific example: I have a quilt in my quilting frame to finish by hand. I want to start putting in an 18" thread each day. I've been putting it off and I want this darn quilt out of its frame and on my sofa LOL!

Better preparation and menu planning is another goal. I will look to cook more economically and efficiently. Secondary to that, I just got a pressure canner into the house and want to master food preservation. Mary Jane's magazine has been such an inspiration in this regard.

I guess that's it for now...

Hi Caludia, nice to meet you. That sounds like a lot of snow. I just came back inside after getting cold trying to scrape snow and ice off my car windshield....(in Northest PA)

I'm gonna just rest here with my farmgirl family on the porch now for a while and see what I can get done on the phone today.
I'll be quiet while I am on the phone so those of ya'll on the porch can peacefully rest. :-)
I'll also have some hot tea and a snack...anyone have a donut or something light for breakfast today?
