So, I have a bumper crop of green onions and basil. It's not even funny. There's no way I can use all of these onions-or the basil. Do any of you ladies save onions or basil? How do you freeze it/package it?

Starbucks and sushi to green fried tomatoes and corn pudding-I wouldn't change it for the world.

Cut up, put in ice cube trays, fill the trays with water, freeze.. Then pop out the onion or basil cubes & keep in a zip lock in the freezer. Then you have it all winter long. Just take a cube or two for your soup, pasta sauce etc.. I do this w/parsley as well... Works great!

What an AWESOME idea!!!!!! Thank you! I'll have to take a trip to the dollar store for ice trays on Monday!

You can make pesto and freeze it.

Megan: I cut up my onions, freeze them in freezer zip-lock bags. I have onions all winter.
