You asked for it, so here it is - a place to discuss farmgirl fashion, share tips and projects, ask for advice, and more.
In our "Raising Jane" issue, you'll find lots of romantic farmgirl style, including patterns for the Prairie Princess Cami and Petticoat modeled by Megan below, bloomers, knickers, skirts, and more. The "Raising Jane" issue is still available in our Back Issues Bundle #2. Click here to find out more: http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/backissues.html

For those of us who don't sew, is it possible to buy the clothes already made?

Nice to see this here. It was a surprise! I hope I can learn alot here. I need farmgirl fashion help. All I wear anymore is jeans and t-shirts and crocks when I am not in muck boots.
Is there help out there for me??? Can we have a farmgirl makeover section?? I will be the first in line!

what about underpants that come up to the waist and are sort of like short bloomers...or shorts..We used to wear them in the 70s. Does anyone know what I mean? I'd like something like that for summer.

I also liked the short overalls...kinda like what babies wear...they used to be in style and I loved them...so comfy. Do you think that would look ok on a chubby woman?

Hi Vickie, I believe the skirt/slip is a wrap-around and similiar can be found. Just ask us and someone will help you find a pattern if you are wanting to sew them.

Meg, you are just too cute! Yes this is a good topic. I think driving a tractor or working in the barn a girl ought to look good. Even if its just a ribbon in her hair.

Too bad the #2 bundles are all gone. Both me and my Mom sew. It would've been a great issue for us.
