[red][size=5][font=Century Gothic][b][center]*** WE ARE CLOSED ***
While cleaning the bottomless pit, I mean sewing/craft room, I came across a few patterns for tea cozies. I've not seen a swap for those listed yet here on the boards, so I thought a SWAP for them would be nice. It would help keep the tea pot warm on these super-cold winter days, and bring a little cheer to the drear.
Partners are posted! Tea cozy MUST be handmade, and can be any medium you choose (knit, crochet, quilt, sew, felted, etc.), and shipped no later than Valentine's Day. Please email your partner to get her mailing address.
Here's the list partners: 1.soapmommy60543-5 acre farmgirl 2.Dutchy-Nigella 3.homergirl1957-Keeper of the Past 4.rabbithorns-yarnmamma 5.homemom-soapmommy60543 6.misspittypat - sleeplessreader 7.smoothiejuice - sewgirlie 8.janiee-Julia 9.hillbillyheaven-ThePixiesPlayhouse 10.debaccuardi - khartquilts

Ann, where do you get the patterns? I would love to have a tea cozy but I don't have a pattern. I had thought about felting some wool and doing some needle felting on it.

Sarita, I love your idea! There are many free patterns online - just type free tea cozy pattern in your search engine. I got a knit one from the Lion Brand website, and I have a quilted one but can't remember from where. These free patterns would give you some guidelines and ideas for size, etc.

Hey gals, I went on the internet and found all kinds of tea cozy patterns. I just have to measure my teapots and get busy.

Allison, I'll sign you up if you'd like. I'll gladly take names before - just wanted to give folks a heads up that it's coming and to be thinking/deciding. Have fun at your retreat!

Thanks! I would definitely like to do it. I will "slip" my supplies into my retreat and I'll find out who my partner is when I get out! I'm not really supposed to be crafting during retreat! But I am taking a bit longer one than usual and actually thought to use the last week to be all by myself and do some personal stuff anyway - where no one will think to interrupt me. Sneaky I guess...

How it works: after sign ups are completed, you will each get a partner. Make a tea cozy for your partner, then email each other for addresses. Be sure to complete your tea cozy and have it mailed by the deadline! Posting photos of completed projects (when they are received of course) is highly encouraged - we'd all LOVE to see what you made for each other!
