After pulling out most of my hair, I think I figured out how to get my blog started and some pictures posted on it. Hope you will check it out and see if I did it right. In other another forum, I have mentioned my new puppy, Chai, so I posted a couple of his pictures on there. Also, I visited the farm last month and took quite a few pictures there, so I will work on getting those on there if anyone would like to see them. Last, I have talked about my new house that I moved into yesterday, so I will put a couple of pictures of it on here, too. If anyone is thinking about starting a blog, trust me, if I can do it, you can, too! I know that I have really been enjoying other ones on here, so I hope you will enjoy mine as well.

Lisa,

I tried to view your blog, but it came back with a "not authorized to view this page"... I was curious because after I read your post to the cofee, tea topic in kitchen, I was wondering if you like mysteries and have read any of Laura Childs tea shop mystery series? Her main character also has a dog named Earl Grey.

Enjoy the good things in life - especially when there is time for tea!

Colette, Yes, I have read the TeaShoppe Mysteries. I mentioned them in a post in the book forum. Laura Childs also writes another series of Scrapbook Mysteries, which is how I came to know of her books. I am lucky to be friends with Laura and got to spend a weekend with her at a Scrapbook show in MN last year. (I am a trade show vendor for Scrapbook shows). And I confess that Earl Grey, the dog in the book, was the inspiration for my cat. I love all things about tea, and this was such a perfect name for a huge grey cat. Now I have some pictures posted on there from MaryJane's Farm, so I hope you will try again.

Amy, I just went and read yours, too. I have never seen a chicken in a suit before and that picture is hysterical. Although I bet that chicken took a lot of grief from the other chickens.

Lisa - I love your blog! And your house! The pictures are all great. You are really opening doors for me - first the Laura Childs teashoppe mysteries - I'm reading one now on your recommendation and of course, I have Tension Tamer tea on my list for the store tomorrow. I'll keep checking back - the spiral notebook next to my computer is filled with all these blogs. I'd like to start one, but right now, my life is more filled with kids than animals, and I don't want their pictures on the internet...

Lisabee- Glad to see that after your travels and wandering you have come home to roost! What an adorable house! You and your pup are pretty cute too! Thanks for sharing the pictures, you must have had a great visit to the farm, and lucky for you that they were all there since they've been on the road too! How's the construction on MJ's house coming? Nice to have you "back" I'll look forward to hearing more from you soon!

I was able to see your blog this time - great house! And I found your post about Laura Childs - took a while as I can't read nearly as much as I would like on this site, what with a 2-yr-old and a 4-yr-old and DH. Thanks for sharing.

Lisa, thanks for sharing your photos! I love your house! Is the old Confederate still there, by any chance?

And your puppy!! He's the same age as our kitten, Chloe. I'd love to see them together! They are about the same size.

I have to relate my favorite teacup poodle story. In L.A. I had a client who had an apricot teacup poodle named Peaches. She went everywhere with Mary, who was our makeup lady. So naturally, I always talked with Peaches while Mary was "doing" me up. Mary had a big old cat that Peaches drove nuts trying to get her to play.

It was Boingy! Boingy! Boingy! Follow the bouncing poodle, but the cat just ignored her. Finally, Mary and Steve bought another teacup, a black one they named Herb, for Peaches to play with.

A few weeks later, they had me talk to Herbie to find out how he liked living with them. Herbie said in words, "Love Mommy. Love Daddy. Love Peaches. Bad kitty!"

Much good luck in your new home!

Patricia

Happy Wishes!

Lisa! I loved your blog! How sweet and it seems you had a wonderful day visiting Mary Jane's farm. I too am very computer illiterate. I usually go to Mom( my secretary-haha) or my 17year old son for help on these sorts of things. I took the plunge today as well and started a blog. It's there with one post but I really have no idea how to navigate through it or how to post pics yet. Oh, and your house is absolutely beeeutiful.

Blessings,

Missy

Missy, I have been posting on my blog for a whole day, so of course, I am an expert by now...NOT!!! I just push keys and hope that something good happens. Please let me know what you blog address is. I started one because I am really enjoying reading others. Makes me feel a little like it's me, me, me but I hope that's not how it comes across.
Patricia...Peaches and Herb...too funny. Chai has spent his second day with me, and is adjusting just fine. One funny thing has already developed...he will NOT eat his puppy chow out of any bowl or dish I put it into. He insists on climbing into the Puppy Chow bag head first with his little bottom hanging out and treating it like an all you can eat buffet. Vet visit confirms he is healthy. I know his appetite is!

Patricia: Our cat's name is Chloe also! My little boy named her when we got her in 2001. He was 7 at the time. He doesn't know where he got the name. His rabbits are named Apollo and Helena. Athena met an early demise...Then, there's our lab, Annie - I named her - my mom's and sister's and best friend's middle names are all Ann(e) - Hi, Lissa! LisaBee, I grew up with a poodle, but not a teacup - a small one, though. His name was Blooper - thanks to my mom and the messes he made. Have you read Forty Acres and a Poodle? I finished it a couple of weeks ago - that poodle is a standard, however. Very good book!

I need to thank whoever recommended Fifty Acres and a Poodle - just finished it yesterday and reserved the sequel from the library. Enjoyed it very much!

Oops - it is FIFTY acres and a Poodle, not Forty! I want the sequel, too - it's called Fifty Acres and a Family (I think...)Don't recall who originally recommended it, but it's in Reading Room.

Lisa- You sound like me!! I talked to my son and he said he would help me, but it probably won't be for a couple of days as I had to be squeezed into his busy social schedule! ha ha And you don't come across as me,me,me at all. I think we all have special attributes that we contribute to the message board and it allows us to feel more connected and get to know one another.

Hi Lisa! I was intruiged by your post because I don't know how to start a blog & have been thinking of doing so. Yours is beautiful. I love your new house & photographs. Plus Chai is so cute! I have to tell you....my boss has a teacup poodle named Chai, too! He is 2 years old & grey & super sweet. He stays at the store all day, and has become very popular in town...so we just finished designing PINK DOGGIE TSHIRTS that say "Vote for Chai" and "I'm friends with Chai" for the other doggies in the neighborhood. I'll let you know as soon as they're available!
