Posted - Feb 27 2021 : 5:59:00 PM Ouchie Vanessa! When I was little I somehow managed to sew my finger with Mom's treadles machine. I remember her holding me over the kitchen sink until it stopped bleeding. I'm glad yours didn't bleed much.

Posted - Feb 27 2021 : 06:37:02 AM Today my Singer bit me. It was really my fault, my finger got too close. It didn't bleed much. I'm sewing 5 buckets for grand nieces and nephews, and the linings need to be quilted, so I'm machine quilting them.

Posted - Feb 26 2021 : 6:02:51 PM Marie - I think you crochet like Grace sews when she's home. I don't know how you two get so much done!
Krista - I'm amazed what you accomplish knowing you have little ones at home with you!!
I've been busy outside on the farm so I don't have anything new to share either.

Posted - Feb 22 2021 : 1:21:51 PM Dianna, great job on your shelves! I’m excited to see your stepping stones when they are complete. I bet you are feeling so much better now that your wrist is healed and you can be busy again!
Heather, I agree. All diamond paintings a blurry close up. And a half drill diamond painting is a great place to start. They aren’t childish. My mom just completed her first half drill and I helped her frame it the last I was at her house. It was a gorgeous wolf with a sun set in the background. She only diamond painted the wolf.
Grace, I would really love that! It’s crazy to know that we have gotten to know each other so much over the years and still haven’t met! We definitely need a tea or wine date and crochet.
Beautiful afghan Marie!
So many busy ladies! I love it! I finally finished the four leaf clover garland and was able to check one more item off my UFO list.

Posted - Feb 20 2021 : 4:34:23 PM Denise - here's a picture of the one my mother in law is working on. You only put the dots on the flower. You can see she's part way done with them. The overall picture is pretty big but the area to work on isn't. I think you'd have better luck finding something like this than to find a not so kid looking small one.

Marie - what a wonderful gift - is that wooden thing in the picture your crochet hook? I've never seen one like that before if it is!
Dianna - I can't wait to see your finished project!!! I'm late to the diamond painting thing too -but be warned - they're very addicting!!! It takes a while to do one but I love them.

Posted - Feb 20 2021 : 12:08:04 PM I am working on a crochet afghan for a friend who had a wedding this month.

Her wedding colors are the herb green and metallic gold. I am filled the rest in with stripes of yarn from my extensive stash. I often combine a fingering weight yarn with a sport or worsted to get the right thickness or to use up the yarn. The focal green strip is two strands of the green and one strand of the lame (lamay).
