Hello all!

I am probably the most inconsistent Farm Girl...I usually only check in every few months; typically when it's either chilly or really hot and I'm forced inside. I hope you all have had a wonderful December.

To my point: I have several lovely pen pals that I've made through this forum and I'd like a few more. The newest pen pal thread I've seen has been inactive for quite a while. Is anyone interested in reviving this? If there is a thread that is current that I've missed, I do apologize. I just went to the one I had been to previously where I located my pen pals and see it hasn't had activity in a long time.

Nice, Denise! I'm sure you are ready for it as well.

Dianna, we had the rain until July and then the faucet shut off. Blah! There were some pop up showers today, but all we got was a misty drizzle for about 5 minutes. I am about to run out and throw some water on the pepper plants. Poor things! And my strawberries...they are just looking horrible. But I'll transplant them as soon as the ground gets a good soaking. Tomorrow will be our hottest day for quite a while, but then on Tuesday, it's supposed to be 94/high and then 54/low. WOOHOO

We are in for rain and some cooler temps this week. A wonderful way to bring in the new season!

Hey, everyone! I have seven responses so far, and so that means we have a pen pal group of eight at the moment. I am working on the list today and will get it emailed out to all who have responded. If you would like to join, but haven't, just comment on here or email me through the forum if you don't have my email addy.

Dianna, I'll email you shortly.

Hope y'all are starting to see some fall weather. We'll be getting our first big cool down this week and I am BEYOND ready. Praying that it brings rain, because we are absolutely dry here. Driving me crazy!

Hi Amanda, so good to connect again! The last year and a half has been a crazy one with Danny back and forth out of country and Sara homeschooling during the pandemic. I'd like to renew my form but the one on my email isn't coming up nor the link?

Nope, you didn't put me on the spot at all! It was something I've been meaning to do for about 4 months, anyway. Yes, that's why my computer was 12...I just dreaded committing to one, but I did it! Lol.

I will get all of the responses in, make a new list, and get it out via email. :)

Hi Amanda,

I just meant to check-in to make sure the form I completed a few days ago wasn't lost in computer land (the same place where many of my wayward texts go). I didn't mean to put you on the spot to get lots of work done. I think buying a computer is as awful as root canal so I am glad that you made it through that ordeal. I will complete the new form you made and look forward to hearing back from you.

I did it...I made a new form! I sent out emails to everyone that I had under my farmgirl contacts, so if you did NOT receive it and you'd like to join this pen pal group, please email me through this forum or leave a response here and I'll see it.

I decided to totally re-do the list as my old computer randomly chewed up my old one and removed people for no reason! So if you want to remain on this list, simply fill out the form I emailed. :) It will have a graphic of mailboxes on it. You may also find it right here: https://forms.gle/Cy8ehRNqaoBt9WXp8

Sorry for being so behind on everything but mentally I am still in 2019!

Hi Jenny,

It's my fault. I am sorry; I need to do a 2021 pen pal google doc and have EVERYONE update as addresses have changed and there are farmgirls who have wished to drop off of the list. All of this needs updating/addressing. My intention was to have this done by early summer, and here it is the end of summer. For one, I was waiting on a new desktop. My old one was TWELVE and took so long, I just couldn't deal with it anymore, but I do finally have a new one after months of looking. In addition, we were sick for a month, and my head still isn't "in the game".

That being said, I DO have some days this week that I will be in front of the computer. I can set up a new form this week and get it out to everyone.

Again, I apologize. Let me get a new form made and I'll redo the list and email it back out to everyone. :) I will check the form and add your email to the list.

Amanda

Hello, I was hoping to be matched with a pen pal.
I completed the Google doc suggested below by msdoolittle
and haven't heard anything? Let me know if there is
anyone who wants to write about gardening, homesteading,
crocheting and/or bird watching.
Thanks.

Kathy, click this link and fill out the form and I'll add you to the list. Do you know how to email someone from the forum? I've tried to put up a response 3 times and it's disappeared 3 times. it's really hard to navigate this forum on my phone #128549;

But here is the link for you. You'll have to copy and paste.

I'm sorry I'm having technical difficulties today!

Hi Amanda,
Somehow I missed this sign-up. Perhaps you might be able to squeeze me in someday. I would enjoy it so much.

Kathy,
I'm not sure I understand but if you want a penpal from the list you need to add your address on the list. Then penpals will write to you and you can choose to respond or not. I am behind with my penpals as I have had a lot going on. I hope they will be patient and forgiving.

Kathy,

I understand that concern! You could always use an alternate address, if you have one (a P.O. Box or a work address, if you could receive mail there) at least until you establish a relationship with that pen pal, but I have not had any issues with anyone on the list.

If there are ever safety issues/concerns, y'all please let me know.

Well Kathy, I've written to everyone on the penpal list at least once, but I always respond back when I get a letter.

I just found this list and maybe this just might be the answer to a question I just posted to the Geography Merit badge list. I would like a PenPal but have been hesitant to join a list for obvious reasons it isn't safe. How would I go about finding one on this list?

I'm so sorry I've been out of the circuit and haven't written anyone since I broke my wrist. Hopefully I'll get back into this group very soon. The healing process was slow. But I do want to thank Joan for sending several beautiful cards and keeping in contact!! :) they were a blessing!
