I made some homemade furniture polish for the first time today. Easy to make, costs pennies, and works like a charm. I used 1 cup of vinegar and 2 teaspoons of jojoba oil. I added some lemon essential oil to mine. It works great. Left the furniture shining and it smelled great.

Hi Lori, Thanks for posting instructions on how you make your homemade furniture polish. I have been looking for a way to make some for use around my home.

Denise what is the name of the cream you use?

Yes lighter would be better. The cream I have isn't for all the time dusting just when the wood needs a good cleaning and freshening up.

Denise, I'm always looking for ways to save money and be healthy doing it. The jojoba oil seems to do a much better job than the olive oil. I think it's because it is a lighter oil. I love the way it wipes off so clean without any trace of oil on the furniture.

Thank you. I found a recipe years ago that use olive oil but I didn't care for it. Will maybe give this a try. I found some wonderful stuff online for restoring wood. It kind of a cream. Natural ingredients and has kept me from having to refinish.

I get mine from a health food store. I have ordered it from Amazon before, too.

Where do you get your jojoba oil, Lori?
