My dad came down and raced near me (He's in Michigan, I'm a dairy farmer in Ohio). It was very exciting to watch the race, but the next day my inner child couldn't resist the car LOL!

Not only do I look like a little kid sitting in there, but I felt like one too! I could barely see out the window and I couldn't reach the pedals

What does your inner child do when she comes out? Mine also loves cookies and cocoa all year round and playing in the rain.

Oh Lisa, that sounds wonderful. I remember having a root beer popsicle. Delicious

My inner child remembers wandering to the woods in back of our house, to some apple trees that provided the perfect shade, secrecy, and seasonal fruit for a 9 year old.
Past the trees was a farm with rolling hills perfect for somersaults, and at the top of the hills was a farm.
I remember going to the farm, and the old farmer asked if I wanted a popsicle.
Yes I did.
He went into the barn, descended some stairs to a cellar, and came up with a root beer popsicle.
I had never had such a treat, and the flavor was something I have never tasted again.
Sweetened with root beer goodness, I somersaulted down the hill to my home.

OOOhhh -- paper dolls! I loved paper dolls. Do they still make them? I haven't seen any in years. We always take bubbles when we travel. They were a big hit in Aswan; the kids there hadn't seen them before. They also loved bandaids with cartoons on them.

My inner child is usually an inner child…aside blowing bubbles and swinging on a swing, mostly I love to read, play with baby dolls and Barbie and my 2 Cabbage Patch kids, and I love to play paper dolls and coloring and move furniture around in my doll house. Just fun indoor things.

So there are a few people who let that inner child run wild. I think we all have some inner child in us. I love splashing barefoot in puddles, feeling mud between my toes, making snow angels, watching Charlie Brown holiday movies. I also like to laugh over absolutely nothing. I get my best belly laughs over nothing. I laugh easily anyway so that isn't hard. Most of the time I laugh at myself!

Heather, how fun is that! I wouldn't have been able to resist either. I would say my inner child comes out when I take the kids to the children's museum. There is just something about playing with all the cool toys, instruments, and science stuff! I think we are due to go again!

I am still a child in many ways. I love to play with my animals and I love to wade in the creek. I still like to read kids books for older children and I love to color in adult coloring books. I like to work jigsaw puzzles and work crossword puzzles. I like to have fun and hate grown up responsibilities---although I am very responsible. I miss being a kid and being carefree. I like to walk in the rain. And I love to ride four wheelers. I love the freedom of farm life even if the work is hard. I love not having to punch a time clock every day.

Thanks ladies. I knew I wasn't the only one that lets my inner child run free sometimes.

April - no I didn't drive it. It was loaded up on the trailer. Dad said if the crops were off he'd let me drive it around the fields. I didn't want to take it on the road because I couldn't reach the pedals and the wheels are turned funny for going around the track. It actually looks like something is broken when you look at the car head on. I did get him to start it up though so I could feel it rumble LOL!! Lucky you that your boys oblige you in having fun! I'm sure you made that guys day that saw you dancing :)

You look ready to go, Heather, were you able to drive it?!?!

I love to let my inner child out when I play with my boys, we can walking home from school or into a store and I say: lets hold hands and skip! And, they oblige!! LOL! We ride bikes, put our hands out, I ring the bell on my bicycle, I'm known to dance in the aisles of Home Depot when we're waiting for Dad to wonder up and down the aisles of his big boy toy shop, I got caught once, a male shopper was walking up our aisle and he laughed when he saw me dancing to the music the store was playing... my boys still bring that story up and giggle! I'm sure that man has told the story at least once how he saw this crazy lady dancing in the aisle at Home Depot as well! One must embrace lifes little moments, for its the little things that truly matter!

Heather, great pic! I let my inner child out to play in my kitchen, garden, and Yellow Rose Cottage. I consider any new or old kitchen gadget and wool/pattern for wool applique as my toys. A little play in each day makes for a much nicer day.

Love the pic. So neat to have your inner child mind set even if it's only just a minute or two.
