Here we go!!! I am so excited to see everyones creations on this theme! It was a tough I know but so happy you wanted to play along! Posting partners.

Mary & Jutta
Daizy & Dianna
Sherry & Marilyn
Marilou and Deborah

Hope you had a wonderful Earth Day weekend and that you are finding AND creating ways of recycling, reusing and repurposing to help cut back on pollutants!

Save our Earth!
Thanks everyone!

YES!!!! It is that time again when we gather together to create those awesome little pieces of art called ATC'S!!!! I just love them! A lot sure can be packed into one small 2 1/2 by a 3 1/2 card!

This month April 22nd we are celebrating Earth Day 2018!!! Our focus is on plastics! How can we help our save our beautiful planet? You can help first of all by going to the following site, registering and grabbing your Earth Day kit to help reduce and recycle plastics!

https://www.earthday.org/earthday/toolkits/

SO this month's ATC will focus around Earth day and you may create ANY shaped ATC as long as you stay in the guideline's size and it's theme " Earth Day 2018"!!

I know this can get quite creative so everyone have fun and please share your amazing art?? Our planet NEEDS our help as well so I will make this a TAD bit more challenging!! Recycle! USE what you HAVE on hand ALREADY! NO purchasing any products, no plastic. HOW ABOUT THAT???? lol!

I do hope you will take the challenge and maybe even step out to your local park, beach or even the road you live on and pick up trash for a day or two????

Sign ups until the 22nd, Earth Day! Partners posted the 23rd and mail-outs by the 28th! Maybe you could even include a commitment to what you might do this year to help preserve and save our beautiful planet Earth and it's inhabitants!!

Thank you for joining!!!

Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) is a conceptual art project initiated by the Swiss artist M. Vänçi Stirnemann in 1997. He called it a Collaborative Cultural Performance. Artist Trading Cards are 2 1#8260;2 by 3 1#8260;2 inches (64 mm × 89 mm) in size, the same format as modern trading cards (hockey cards or baseball cards). They are self-made unique works or small series, signed and dated on the reverse by the artist/producer, exchanged and collected by the people who participate in the collaborative performance.[1]

I'm not sure what's happened to Daizy. I never heard from her since she signed up but still sent her card. I hope and pray everything is ok. Here is my card/package to her. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers also. We just never know with our sisters so far from one another!

My sweet Marilou please forgive for not posting sooner as I have not been feeling well for about a week an a half. I believe if I can remember right I got it Saturday the day before Mother’s Day, it was such a joy to get . There is nothing and I truly mean nothing, better than Farmgirl Mail to lift my spirit and I am sure all agree.
So thank you so much for the sweet tucks, I do really like what you came up with for my Earth Day ATC. It is perfect.
I mailed yours about 2 weeks ago as well, so I hope you get it soon.

Yes! I love living here in Canada (despite the snow...) but it does take quite a while for any mail to reach me and to reach anyone from me too!
I sent my ATC approx. 2 weeks ago. It will hopefully reach before Summer! *chuckle*

Hi Dianna,
Mine went out ages ago. I'm still waiting on Mary's but it does take awhile to get here at times.
Have a nice day!

Thank you Deborah for the update! I really appreciate that. I finally found Daizy's address via another group so hers was mailed today. I've not heard from her at all. So I pray everything is OK with her and her family. How about everybody else?

As she lives in Canada it takes longer to get to and from.
I mailed my ATC to her over a week ago.

Glad you are feeling better Dianna!

Sherry I sent you an email to swap addresses.

My Mom passed away last week and we ended up having our family gathering at their house on Earth Day. Thankfully we had just cleaned up the yard the weekend before and the weather was gorgeous and 75 degrees, the Dogwood trees and many other bulbs and flowers were in full bloom and it was a wonderful day enjoying loved ones and the beauty of life on earth.

I had originally planned to help remove Polygonum (Japanese Knotweed) along the Cedar River Trail - it's a noxious weed and spreads like wildfire along the river banks choking out the native vegetation and harming fish habitat. I will reschedule my Earth Day park contribution for the next time our city community services department holds a volunteer day event.

I attempt to reduce my plastic footprint by purchasing foods with minimal packaging, using reusable shopping bags or asking for paper bags, packing my own lunches in oilcloth wraps or reusable containers, carrying reusable water and coffee bottles, using paper bags for yard waste and garbage, buying re-inkable stamp pads, making my own lemonade, gatorade etc from powdered mixes instead of buying it in individual bottles, using re-usable bowl covers for food storage instead of plastic wrap, using paper cups, plates, etc or regular glasses and serving ware instead of plastic stuff when entertaining guests, and using a fabric tablecloth instead of plastic ones for my art tables and picnic tables.

I'm looking forward to this swap!

Cheers! ~ Marilyn
