Please remember to "Subscribe" to this topic so you don't miss any important information.

Only 1 more mini apron swap after this one and we will be done! We'd love to have more farm girls join us. We are having fun and getting lots of mini aprons to decorate our farmhouses, cottages, apartments, sewing rooms, and rv/trailer/motorhomes.

This swap is for mini-aprons made in the Fall theme in design or fabrics. When making aprons for your fellow swappers, please remember to make something that you would like to receive. We love embellishments - buttons, trims, pockets, lace, ruffles, etc, but they are not always necessary depending on the design of the apron. Future themes for this year will be Fall and Christmas. Plan ahead, find fabrics in your stash, and join in when you can. You can always make some mini aprons ahead for these topics when you have spare time. NOTE: They do not all have to be the same - different is fun, too! Use up your scraps and be creative.

Please take a look at the cute aprons from a previous farmgirl mini-apron swap. Read the comments and you will see Grace's collection of mini-aprons here: http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/snitz/topic.asp?whichpage=0.84&TOPIC_ID=77791#915025

NOTE: There are patterns available for mini-apron ornaments - Simplicity 1957 and Simplicity 2748. There are also free crochet and other mini apron patterns on Pinterest. You can use these or design your own half-aprons or full bib-style aprons. Farmgirls LOVE embellishments! But most of us just sit, sew, and create the aprons as we go.

For all you crocheters, out there, here is a cute adaptable apron some of you may like.

Look down the page. I love the red and white version.

Sign-ups start now: July 19
Sign-ups end: Noon, Friday, August 11
Mail out to Linda NO LATER THAN: Friday, August 25
NOTE: The sooner I receive all the aprons, the sooner you can all ooh and aah over them at your own house. LOL!

Here are the criteria:
1. You will make a mini apron - either half-apron or full bib-style apron - for each farmgirl who signs up (# depends on signups). Finished apron size is approx. 5" wide and 5-6" long depending on style (Note: my half aprons start at 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" and are gathered to a 5" waist) ... not including the ties... ties on each side should be about 6-8"(not incl.waistband) so the aprons can be tied in a row for a banner or tied onto an object for display. The bib aprons are about 6-1/2" to 7" long, not counting the neck strap. You might want to add a pocket and tuck a little note inside. You will be getting one of your mini-aprons back. PLEASE Be sure to sign your mini-aprons.
2. You will send me your set of mini aprons, including the one for you.
3. You will also include a Self-addressed, stamped (with postage stamps, not with a machined tape) large envelope with the same amount of postage as your envelope costs to mail. Include $1.00 cash to cover the cost of extra weight that different trims/aprons might add. NOTE: Depending on how embellished your aprons are compared to the others, postage could be quite a bit more. I will contact you if the amount is more than yours plus the dollar.
4. I will divide up the mini aprons, and mail your mini aprons back to you in your envelope.

I will list names of those who sign up and let you know the final total as soon as signups end!

Let's have some fun with these! You can find many designs on Pinterest or the Internet with the Topic of Fall Aprons.

Still do not have mine displayed yet. Hopefully this weekend.

I love looking at them. Don't know how many of you will remember the cartoon character
"Fog Horn Leg Horn?" But as he would often voice his opinion you would here him say...

" I say," "I say now, aren't these just the purtiest fall aprons you ever did see?" LOL!
I love that voice of his. LOL!

Soooo darn cute! My first of many mini-apron swaps for sure! I couldn't wait to open my package and see the variety. Erik (hubby) loved them too. He's so respectful of my passions. Now I have to hang them. Thank you Linda...Thank you everyone!!!

How was your Bunco party Linda?

I decided that sewing would be good medicine for me. So I started on my Christmas, mini aprons. My energy level is sad. Therefore I did not get much done, but in tiny bits I will eventually have the basic stitching done

Oh my, I love my aprons! You sisters are the best! Soooooo cute! Brightened my day for sure!

Thanks again for hosting, Linda. It's not always that easy! Yikes, when you forget what you're doing and have to start over! Senior moment! LOL!

I heard of Pile on but never knew what it was. Easy to assemble and let everyone do their thing. I'll try it. Thanks, Marilyn.

Linda, no problem having leftovers. I like to cook once and eat twice! I have more important things to do besides stand at the stove! LOL! I love my 4 crockpots!
Have one on now with sausage. Made a scalloped potato and ham dish Thursday. Usually have more than one going at a time. Didn't use the crock yesterday, have to use the stove sometimes.

Thanks again for my beautiful minis!

The Pasta e fagioli was great - everyone loved it. I have lots left over, though - one batch would have been more than enough. Now I can save/freeze some for later. LOL!

Thank you Deborah for your enthusiasm! And, yes, Linda I don't know how you do it. I haven't received mine yet but I can't imagine all those tiny aprons sorting and mailing. You ARE amazing!
