I picked up the first 3 books in the series at an estate sale. Something about them just struck me. I am now completely addicted to reading about Father Tim and the rest of the Mitford inhabitants! I sat down this afternoon (just for a minute, you know) and looked up and it was TWO AND A HALF HOURS later! Oh my goodness! Anyone else a fan?

Love the Mitford series. Fast forward to 2020 and Hallmark made a movie "At Home In Mitford" starring Andie McDowell and Cameron Mathison. Good clean movie. Hopefully, they will make more movies of the series.

That book was titled, "To be where you are". It was really hard to put down. Once you read it you will understand why I'm impatient for the next one!

Happy reading Amanda. I read the entire series over the winter and am impatiently waiting for the next book since I just read the one that came out this fall.

I need to get back to Mitford! I slacked off of my reading, but I guess the good thing is now I can start from the beginning. Ha! :)

I wish I could live in Mitford! That would be my dream come true...sigh.

My Mama collected some of the Guidepost hardbacks, "Mystery and The Minister's Wife" series. I saw a bunch of them that I don't have on Amazon. I may have to extend my collection. When you find s good series you can just re-read them every few years. So enjoyable!

I have all the books in the Mitford series. As soon as a new one comes out I drop whatever else is on my nightstand to read about Father Tim and what is going on in Mitford. Love them all.

I just finished the first book in the series. Fortunately my library has them all, so I have books 2 and 3 to read next. The first book was a delightful read and I enjoyed it immensely. Thank you so very much for the recommendation!

Happy reading!

It's so hard to find a good, clean series to read these days that doesn't disappoint. Thank you for the suggestion gals! I will check them out at our library.

Thank you for bringing this series to our attention Amanda. It looks great and I just ordered the first 3 in the series from my library. I have a feeling these books will get me through the winter here in the Chicago area.

That is the funniest thing. I was given 1 through 8 probably 10 years ago by a co-worker that was retiring. They have been sitting in a grocery bag in my laundry room most all that time. Just now I brought them out. Will have to start reading them with the new year.

Read the books years ago and loved them. Good clean reading! At the time Hallmark had so many things from the series on sale. Have them too! LOL!

Our church has a book club dedicated to just the Mitford series. They read a chapter and discuss the Christian aspect of each chapter and have potlucks with the recipes in the books. The women love it. It is very well attended.

Hurrah! I am so glad she wrote so many books! I went into a thrift store today and found the first four books on audiotape. Woohoo! I took my daughter's Walkman (yes, we still listen to tapes/records) and hooked it up to the audio in my van. Nice.

Amanda, I have read the entire series and loved every book!! They are fantastic and I completely understand how you just can't put a book down once you start. Most libraries carry the series so you can keep on reading. You won't want to miss a single book in the story. Lately, my church library is carrying her latest books which take place after the kids are grown and Father Tim has retired. Love them!
