Posted - May 30 2015 : 2:40:36 PM Farmgirl Jubilee Opening Statement
The first annual Farmgirl Jubilee was celebrated in 2015, forever more to be held during the first weekend in May. During our special weekend, together in person or online, we celebrate friendships and our connections to our rural roots. It’s when we honor our homes, families, and friends. We celebrate by adding beautiful gardens to urban backyards, by discovering the satisfaction of home-cooked meals made with healthy ingredients, by renewing our commitment to the simplification of our daily lives, by rediscovering outdoor spaces together with friends, and by meeting new friends who inspire us and help us stay the course in meaningful ways. Thank you for joining us. Now it’s time to tie one on … an apron, of course!

A Surprise Farmgirl Jubilee Box arrived for me from Karla Hendricks. The box was overflowing with Easter Treasures and Rooster/Chicken Goodies as well. A really cute Jubilee Apron which Karla maybe made and a hand painted egg. Also a beautiful strawberry teacup and a variety of tea to celebrate. It was like Christmas and all holidays rolled into one. On May 7th I will have a cup of tea to celebrate this years Jubilee and to honor Karla and all my Farmgirl Sisters/Friends that I have made over the years. Thank you Karla for all my surprises and making me feel special!

Posted - Jan 23 2017 : 6:36:16 PM This 2017 I will be happily joining the crowd for our JUBILEE, Queen Elizebeth had her Golden Jubilee. How awesome to have this in our history. I wish I could travel to Mary Janes Farm. Though I am now helping my husband take care of his brother. He can't be left alone. So I will find time in the future. I Love Mary Jane and Everyone. Thank you to all who have helped me along the way. Kathleen

Posted - Jan 22 2017 : 8:01:06 PM Oh goodness..The mini apron banner sounds neat. Is there a pattern. The only sewing I've done is I hand sewed my daughter's Christmas dresses one year. Just found one and I'm hoping it'll fit my last girl. |

Posted - Jan 19 2017 : 07:41:29 AM I am a newby to the sisterhood but would love to celebrate the jubilee here in southern Alabama and I think the mini apron idea for the banner is adorable! I can't wait to begin the celebration! Working on several badges now but I can do the apron banner as well while the hubs is gone! ;)
