Here's the performance of "Farmgirl at Heart" as sung in our local co-op. The young woman who sang it came down with a cold the morning of. But still she did a darn good job. Brian Gill, the gentleman singing with her, wrote it as a surprise for Carol and me. Somewhere I have the words written down. Will try to find them!

Patsy, from our Coeur d'Alene store, is a wonderfully talented musician and has kindly provided a chord chart for the Farmgirl at Heart song. She says, "I put it in the same key as they play it on YouTube, but they use a capo, so if people want to play it with the video, they'll have to capo it up one fret." If you're a farmgirl at heart, play along!

Here's a PDF of the chord chart.

It might be old fashioned but it still rocks to be a Farmgirl at heart! Link to theme song sang a long time ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZHbpcDMCdI&feature=youtu.be

That was so sweet and beautiful!!! How precious are these memories of people you love and know! I wish my daughter woukd embrace this gift of being a farmgirl at heart rather than the tiktocs of her worldly friends lives. Sigh, but I don't give up and continue to teach her the things I know, the values of life and the gifts of nature I embrace! Why? Because that's what my mom did for me, I strayed but came back to this beautiful way of life! Thank you for sharing and I'm sure MaryJane, the loss of your dear friend is felt everyday.

Thanks for the reminder Joan! This is an awesome song. What a beautiful heart he had in penning it for Mary Jane and Carol.

Joan I am so glad you posted reminding us about this song. I'm sad to say I had forgotten it. Come Jubilee let's all play it and along the way I hope FarmGirls will come to this thread to listen to the words and the woman singing it. MaryJane posted the words so we all can have a copy.

This song is everything a song should be! Memorable, truthful, thought-provoking, and goes right to your heart. I'm saddened to hear of the songwriters passing. As I always like to think, it means another wonderful addition to heavens Angel band.
