Well we had a lovely time meeting yesterday here on Long Island at our local Arboretum. It was a beautiful day and I have to say the company was beautiful too! My farmgirl sister Teresa and I met Pilar for the first time and we hit it off instantly! We chatted over tea and pie for over 2 hours and not once was there any silence! We never ran out of things to talk about. We have officially decided to start our own chapter and will meet again next month. We are each goint to try and "recruit" one new friend into the group and see how it goes. SO exciting and such fun!
Elaine you are welcome anytime to come join us.. I will be sure and let you know as soon as we have an exact date for our next meeting!

Hello Sisters!
There are a few of us farmgals here on Long Island, NY! My self (Laurentany) TeresaJ25, and Retasos2 are getting together for the first time tomorrow. We plan on meeting at the Arboretum nearby for Tea and Talk. We are hoping to start our own chapter as well. I was so excited when Pilar (Retasos2) contacted me, because up until the other day it was just my dear sister Teresa and I that shared our farmgirl life with each other. Wish us luck- I have a feeling this might be the beginning of a great thing!
Yipppeee!

I would love to see a gathering of Northeast chapters. I am from NJ but there don't seem to be too many of us here!

Hi Girls! Jackie, I write MaryJane's Suburban Farmgirl Blog, and I am in New England, in Connecticut, near the New York border. I also have started a chapter here, Connecticut Simpler Life Sisters. Cathy, wouldn't it be fun to get a big bunch of Northeast Chapters together sometime??? Wonder how big a gathering it would be?

Cathy, I like basketmakers idea about making a northeast chapter. I live in Mass and I haven't seen any blogs from women in this state. There has got to be someone out there that lives near by that sharesour same interests.

Wow you wrote this in April and I am just finding it! Forgive me please. I am from DANSVILLE, NY an hour south of Rochester. Would you really be interested in joining us? We would love it, where did you live in NY?

Cathy,

Does it have to be a NY Chapter? How about a Northeast Chapter to include more farmgirls? By the way, where is Danville? I'm originally from NY but I don't recognice the town. Good luck with your venture because I think it's a wonderful idea.
