Just so I can get to know you all! What kinds of businesses do you all have? Do you make things? Do you sell things? Do you grow things for Farmer's markets? Let me hear from you what your entrepeneurial hearts have been up to!

I am still searching-I knit baby items, I sell eggs, I make quilts, I make jewlery, I sew, I crochet, etc etc etc but I haven't settled on just one thing!

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Such diversity here. I started off out of my career as a admin. assistant and computer programmer for Sears and AT&T. I left the stressful corporate world and worked for myself as a Nanny and Home Health Aid. Once, my daughter was born I went into direct sales with Avon, Tupperware and a raft of other companies over the last 26 years.

I opened my Etsy shop in 2008 and it brings in a few hundred dollars extra a month. I'm thinking of opening a Shopify website and move my blog over as well early next year.

I also have a gift sampler monthly subscription business that I want to build back up as my main business from Shopify.

If you are interested in subscribing sign-up on my mailing list to be the first to see what will be in the first collection starting in January of 2018.

Wow! I love reading about all of these hard workin' ladies! I have had a hard time settling on just one thing as well, so I have a little etsy store where I sell handmade jewelry (mostly literary fan art, haha!): https://www.etsy.com/shop/TinyBirdTreasure

I author a blog called "Tiny Bird's Nest" that covers homemaking and crafting tutorials, recipes, activities for kids, and other homemaking/motherhood articles: www.tinybirdsnest.com

Recently, I've also started a YouTube channel for more "auditory/hands-on" learners that is mostly gardening tutorials and updates on our little urban garden, but will also feature crafting ideas and tutorials as well: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdacRcVlhg7BaT-1LmoybSQ

I design sewing and embroidery projects regularly for two Australian craft magazines (I lived there for 5 years and recently moved back to Kansas). I also have an Etsy shop where I sell my own patterns and now have a new project there - Stitch Cafe monthly digital craft magazine.

I run the accounting, contracts, and marketing for our family electrical contracting business. I also practice herbalism by doing consultations, classes, and walks. Currently trying to build up the farm so I can sell at farmers markets.

I am a bookkeeper for a small family-owned used automobile dealership. We will be "retiring" soon, so I am in the process of building up my own book of freelance bookkeeping clients.

I do documentation and internal training for a mid-sized software company. It's exactly as exciting as it sounds! The company is great though, and I basically wrote my own job description. Couldn't ask for a better situation.

Hi Karla!

I'm an accountant for various internet companies including http://secretmenus.com http://heavyhaultrucking.com and my own company I just started http://www.hairgrowthpills.com/ and of course running my own farmhouse.
I love to help others online when I can and found this forum very helpful.

It's tough being a solo entrepreneur, but my husband does help me when he can.
Cheers to farmgirl entrepreneurs!

I just started my Etsy recently with a love for vintage dolls. My shop is named after my Grandma, who gave m countless dollies over the years and then later shared her patterns. Most all of my dolls are made from her patterns. It makes me feel like I am passing on part of the beautiful gifts she had and keeping her in memory.
My shop is www.etsy.com/shop/LouisesLilLovelies

I make interactive photo albums that are so much fun. I started my own business on Facebook called "Happier Every Day". The initials of my business page comes from my 3 grand kids. H for Hannah, E for Evelyn and D for Devon. Have a great day!

Wow, I am impressed with the wide variety of talent people here! I am an administrative assistant at the local school district by day and I love to sew. I am currently trying to set up an online business for my sewing skills and my husbands woodworking skills. I also love scrapbooking, cardmaking, and cutting shapes with my cricut machine for my daughters first grade class.

So many talented ladies on here! I create and sell breastmilk jewelry and memory jewelry as a business and dabble with baking, gardening, and sewing little trinkets, but I just give those away right now ;)

An update on my post. I am not a website consultant anymore and am in the process of changing my website from business to author. Try as I might I could not leave my love for writing behind, and my first manuscript just went to the publisher. :)

I just quit my job and jumped in with both feet for my new business. I am offering grief support for people who are mourning the death of their companion animals.
I also do aromatherapy and I am training to be a certified EFT practitioner.

I taught school for thirty years. Then I babysat two precious little GRANDDAUGHTERS. Next I started a Mother's day out program for a local church and grew it into a large daycare, preschool and after school care facility. Next in 2009 I had cancer. That took a year. Since then I have been substituting at two small country schools and starting an Etsy shop. I have written, illustrated and published, on Amazon, three books for young children. I also have some patterns for sale on Craftsy. They are Stick Farm animals.

I have two! One is Thrive Life freeze dried foods and emergency preparedness supplies...love this company because I am starting a food storage for my family of 8 and their foods stay fresh for 25 yrs. on average, unopened. I also use their foods for daily cooking for my family...so nice to have these foods on hand as it saves time and I'm able to prepare quick healthy meals all the time now. It has made my life so much easier.

I like doing all sorts of handwork and designed quilt patterns for publication in the 1980s and '90s as well as having a mail order pattern business during that same time.

Now I have an online business, Wanda Sturrock Consulting. I help small businesses improve the content performance and usability of their websites.

The website also contains my blog, The Simply Lived Life, which is a little bit life and a little bit small business. : )

I write little encouraging notes and send them by snail mail. I also crochet, mainly hats. The writing brings me the most joy though, people need a little bit of cheering. :)
