I loved scavenger hunts as a child did you? I thought it would be fun to pick one word and you would have to find items for each letter in that word to send to your partner. An example would be T.R.E.E. You would need to acquire 4 items each beginning with the respective letter.

At least one item has to be handcrafted and one item has to portray what that word is. The word will be something to do with the winter season and I will share that word when sign-ups are completed. I will give a few hints to what the word is going to be before sign ups end. If you love a mystery and a challenge, this is the swap for you.

Sign-ups will go until November 25th. Mail out date will be December 17th. I hope you all will play along with this fun holiday game.

The word is Snowman.

For those of you who haven't started, enjoy the hunt.

Darlene you're very welcome. I enjoyed making things for you. I do like to make things, but can't keep everything I make or there wouldn't be any room left in my house.lol....
The address book could be a journal also.

Brenda, I received your lovely package and thank you. I love everything. My son bought me a new ipad for Christmas so I will try to post a picture later. Since the election our mail has been terrible. It’s not a joke! Yours should have been there already! Fingers crossed!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!

Santa's Elves stopped by this afternoon with a bag full of surprises with my bowl fillers!! Thank-you so much Marilyn for all the wonderful goodies you put together. There were Christmas fabric scraps, 3 darling pillows for my bowl; a wreath, Snowfriends, and a snowflake all festive and adorable. Then there was a bog of hot beverage things like Apple Cider Mix, Cocoa mix, lots of different teas and some chocolate peppermint candy. It was all so fun to go through and I know I will enjoy everything!! A beautiful greeting card and several interesting cookie recipes topped off the list. Thank-you Marilyn for such a lovely swap that you put together. Wishing you and your family a very blessed Christmas on Friday.

Lookie here at all this wonderful stuff. Unfortunately the "before" pix doesn't show up in the gallery. Dog gone it. Wonder if I could re-package everything up and get a "do-over"?

Julie -- I GOT IT! I GOT IT!! Too, too wonderful. DH is my personal techie and he is photographing and uploading . . . or is that downloading . . . . anyway, he's getting the pix all done so I can post them. But in the meantime, I just had to start with this. Each letter came in a terrific fabric bag just too cute for words and in most cases contained multiple gifts:
S = Snowman stuff
N = Notecards
o = Ornaments
W = Wall Hanging
M = Mug Rug
A = Amazing Tea, Treats & Trivia
N = Necklace & Notepad

Wherever did you find all this wonderful stuff? I am thrilled beyond words. And, if you made those bags and the mugrug and wallhanging yourself, I hope you're going to join the Feed Sack Project 2021 swap.
Thanks again. Photos will follow when the photographer has completed his work.
Farmgirl hugs,
jean

The mailman delivered bright and early this morning - Mary Duffel's scavenger hunt arrived. She made me think a bit and get a little help from a friend, but I get it ~~

S nowman lapel pin (as well as a scrubby, a snowman coaster and soap )
N ovel - I could use a good read right now
O riginal art - Are you the artist Mary? It is lovely and beautifully framed.
W arm Wishes gift box as well as Wintertime craft paper and that Wildflower soap
M ittens - Mary gave that one away - a synonym for gloves. That would have had me stumped
A lphabet Cosmo Cricket chipboard pieces. This is very interesting. Can't wait to open the box and start creating
N ote pad and Nail polish

Very creative and all will be put to use. Thank you, Mary, for such a great treat.

Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year !!

You are so right Jean, delightful is the word. The oranges are so sweet and juicy. Winnie knows the way to this Minnesotan's heart!

Oh my how delightful those fresh home grown oranges must seem in mid-winter Minnesota.
Not to worry, Julie, sending mail these days is like traveling by air -- the minute you enter the Post Office or airport, you have lost control. Whenever it arrives, it will be wonderful I know. I am having the same frustrations with the Christmas Stocking swap package I sent to Vanessa in Kentucky. Trying to outsmart the postal system, I sent it by UPS early last week. Tracking has it scheduled for December 22. I'm going to be so unhappy if it doesn't get there by Christmas.

I love seeing all these beautiful packages. Those oranges look so good, what a treat to receive from Winnie. Jean, your package is still showing "in transit" I maile it priority, I would hate to think what would have happened if I sent it ground shipping. Hope it gets to your doorstep soon.

Wow! My Snowman Scavenger Hunt package arrived yesterday. I had so much fun opening and enjoying each gift. Thank you Winnie (Red Tractor Girl), this has been the highlight of my day. You have such a giving heart and attitude. Thank you seems inadequate for the joy and fun this brought me. Can't wait for the next scavenger hunt! In these pictures you will see I had several little packages to unwrap - S for snowman and another S for a sleigh ride picture. N for a Christmas Nativity - this warms my heart, O for Florida oranges from Winne's tree (have to admit, I ate a couple before taking the picture - they are AWESOME, W for a stitched and framed wreath, M for Mint Jelly ( can't wait to try this, maybe with a little cream cheese on a cracker), A for a beautiful stitched Angel and another N for some cute Christmas napkins. There was also included some tea and a peppermint stick. Thank you Winnie, blessings and hugs to you and all you wonderful Farmgirls for a special Christmas for you and your loved ones!
