When I was a teenager my best friends Mom would bake and build gingerbread for us girls to decorate. One year it was a house, one year it was a train with cars. She knew we didn’t have the patience to put them together ourselves.

I found the perfect gingerbread for me - this time I have to put it together myself and decorate- but I’m so looking forward to doing it! (I found this at Cost Plus World Market)

I’ll post pictures when I complete it.

I, sadly, have not made a Ginger bread house in years... and it has been a lot longer since I made one from scratch...

I saw the Trailer G.B.H. at World Market/cost plus several weeks ago... I should have bought it...

So... Deb, you make yours and we'll all come over and help you eat it !!!

Cute! I do one every year, with my granddaughter if I can.

Love it!!! Our family decorates gingerbread houses every thanksgiving with all the cousin... this year will be different as we won't all be gathered around the same thanksgiving day table to feast and count our blessings, but we will still be decorating a gingerbread house at home and will be together with extended family in our hearts and thoughts!!

Deb, that is an awesome gingerbread kit! And it looks like so much fun! I want to find something similar to do with my kids. I know they will really enjoy it. Please share your pictures when it’s completed. Have so much fun making it!

In other news - Santa in the picture looks exactly like my Dad that I lost earlier this year. I will be cutting him out and putting him by the camper.

You can order the camper gingerbread kit, and a chalet and barn, from cost plus on line. LOL! They are so cute.

Deb -- How cute! Unfortunately our Cost Plus closed earlier this year. I sure will miss it as I used to do a lot of my holiday shopping there. I made a gingerbread house for a contest once; it was a miniature in a big brandy snifter. It was fun to do and I got second place. My Mom used to make them too when we were little.
