It's a great idea, Jean. After Christmas and when the mail service settles down to normal?? we should do something with your feedsacks. Thank you.

I am posting this in the Stitching & Crafting Room too. And, please forward it on to anyone you think might be interested. In going through my stash I have uncovered a tote box full of delightfully retro flowered feedsacks. I thought they might be a good basis for some kind of quilting, crafting or fabric swap in the new year. I have been participating in many swaps since joining the MJF Connection earlier this year. But I really don't know the rules of the road when it comes to hosting one. I would be happy to try. But I need to know if there would be any interest in a feedsack swap or challenge of some kind. I'm looking forward to your input as we are approaching the end of the Holiday Season and have cabin fever to look forward to . . . Thanks in advance for your ideas.
Farmgirl hugs,
jean

This has been so much fun! Thanks to each and everyone for such unique and beautiful squares of fabric. I never dreamed, that in a year where we were in lock downs, there would be such a beautiful selection. I also learned that trying to shop for snowmen in May is next to impossible! Ha ha!

Ladies, my computer is in the shop. I am using my husband's laptop so I don't have pictures to show. Since receiving Linda and Marilyn's fabrics, I have also received fabrics from Jana, Vanessa, Darlene, Terri, Christine, Sherry and Rebecca. I really like all of them! Thank you!

Thank you, Darlene, for the printed cross stitch snowman. Printed embroidery is my favorite. I am not into counted cross stitch embroidery. I am looking forward to stitching it soon.

Sherry, Thank you for the beautiful envelope, your sweet note, fabrics, and Snowman Soup goodies! It was a nice surprise and made my day!

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!

I haven't sent any out yet. Lowell has had many "urgent" projects for me to do that I just don't want to do. These have pushed everything back.

Are there 11 of us in this swap, with Christine as the last one added? If so, I am only missing one, and I know it is in the mail to me. The USPS seems overwhelmed and has sent several of my sent things on different routes. LOL!

Merry Christmas, everyone.

One of the past Christmas Fabric Swaps that I hosted I made a Christmas quilt.
Here is a picture of the quilt before it was quilted. And then a picture of the quilt on the bed this year.

Here is another Christmas quilt, using 6-1/2" squares; but you can cut these squares in quarters and make a scrappy quilt or leave them whole and make a quilt.

I have also just sewn the 10" squares together and it makes a very nice scrappy quilt.

I love all of the fabrics that you sweet friends chose. Natalie, Sherry, and Terri are the last three I received. Jana when we first did this swap, I made kid sized quilts and donated them to the children's hospital where my grand daughter had her brain surgery. Because she told me that she almost froze and asked me to use fleece as my backing, that is what I did. Then I tied them with embroidery floss. Later I made some of the bowl copies and some hot pads.

Once again I love all the fabric I received this month, thank you all! Quick question, what are some of the projects that you all have made with these beautiful fabrics received from these swaps.

I'm catching up on my last 2 envelopes. The gold accents on Terri's material is so pretty, and the birdhouses and rustic snowflakes make me want to start a Christmas quilt!

Thank you, Sherry, for the Christmas fabric - I love it! And for the extra goodies. Thank you so much.

My shoulder is doing pretty well. I still can't reach back to hook my bra in back LOL! Otherwise I can do most things. And sewing isn't a problem like it was for a while.

I can't wait to start on the Christmas quilt - will be making a large quilt so it covers the queen size bed with a wide hang-down. I have Christmas quilts on all three beds, but like to be able to change them out from year to year.
