You can often find in hardware stores and garden centers small decorative flags that hang on metal stakes to place in the ground or hang on an exterior wall.

Garden flags are approximately 12.5” wide x 18” long. They have a pocket on the top edge to slide on to your stake. They are made from any material that will withstand outdoor conditions. You can paint, applique, or whatever is your pleasure. The theme is winter, Christmas or for the New Year.

Once more, Ida Jane made something beautiful...and it arrived at my mail box today!
Thank you! I love my pretty garden flag! I also love the tucks... Including candy, a red pickup all loaded up with a tree and gifts and a wreath, bag clips ( makes my husband happy...because he can open another bag of another variety of chips. Then there is your sweet note and the wonderful scent of the holidays. I love it all and i thank you.

I am the first to receive my garden flag because I got mine hand delivered in person from Jill. Unwrapping the box (never would I be able to recreate the wrapping and bow) was like the gift that kept on giving. Jill knows my style - My garden flag is simple holly berries and holly leaves on a black background. I LOVE it!! Along with -- Chocolate w/hazel nuts (my favorite), tea bag with a wonderful seasonal aroma, gift tags and embroidery thread, an art card illustrating Paris landmarks, and a sweet message from a hoot owl addressed to me and a honeybee.
Thank you Jill for everything I love ~~

I think this sounds fun! I will give it a try. Count me in Please. I am so excited about these swamps and making some new pen pals!
Would love to send something real through snail mail for a change - feel like I have been living only in a virtual world since March!

The little red hen asked her friends, "Who will help me plant the seeds ?" "Not I," barked the lazy dog . "Not I," purred the sleepy cat . "Not I," quacked the noisy yellow duck . "Then I will," said the little red hen .

We had some awesome flags last month. You might get some ideas from watching these videos:
