I have been hiding out in my very messy sewing room these past few days.. making face masks and bread bowl covers..
Here are my most resents..

I had just a small +/- fat quarter size of a piece of MJF Hen fabric,, and was able to make a bowel cover, 2 masks and 1 yoyo out of it... talk about using every last itty bitty piece!

I am think about making some bread bowel covers for Christmas gifts,,
What a fun gift, a bowl. the cover, a wooden spoon and a package of bread or scone mix all tucked in the bowl..

What I like about the covers,, which are reversible,, is they are perfect for covering a bowl of chips or pop corn so a nosey pup or kitty won't get into the snacks while you are out of the room..
Then after use,, just toss in the washer... no landfill, no plastic,, just eco friendly covers and a great way to use up scrap fabric.
For those who have embroidery machine,, you could embroider one side with a design or (verse) label.. how cute would that be.

This isn't a new idea,, I just thought it would be fun to revise... It only takes about 30min to make (while watching the Murdoch Mysteries) a bowl cover...

Debbie aka BIC... these are such easy peasy sewing projects... you can do it,, don't underestimate your skills and talents...

btw.. I thought of you yesterday.. my DH gave our Ginger a little batch yesterday because she was starting to smell 'ripe'...
later in the day, she is sitting with DH.. and he starts sniffing,,, only to realize Ginger smelled like peepee.. she must have rolled in some peepee... it was on her back.. so either the cat 'marked' her... or Ginger rolled in...
Yep,, 2nd bath of the day.. thank goodness it wasn't after spending $$ at the groomers!!! lol!

I re-worked an idea.. for fabric ornaments...
Origionally after machine embroidering a piece of fabric, I sewed on a backing and stuffed it.. It was ok.. but... I wasn't 100% pleased with it.. 'sew' I made another one.. and this time didn't stuff it, instead I sewed the piece on top of wool felt.. much better.. I might make another one and sandwich a piece of cotton batting between the top and bottom fabrics to give it a slight 'puffy' look...

That's a great use for fabric, Grace. I may have to make a couple of the bowl covers, too.

I've been thinking about what I can make for gifts, too. Lots of good ideas on Pinterest for gals, but hard to find things that 14 and 21 year old boys would like. I almost have to buy things for them. LOL!
