I have started this new thread to replace the old one which was just too full.

Here is something I'm working on.

I'm using fabric from the fabric swaps.

Heather, that looks great! I look forward to seeing your next one. I know what you mean about color changes. My yarn always gets tangled no matter how hard I try to avoid it.

Receiving them brings us joy too Karen!!!!

I was inspired by Krista's corner to corner crochet projects. I learned how to do it by making a baby blanket:

I'm working on a pattern with a picture in it now. Not sure I like all the color changes LOL!

Shennendoah
I have been snuggling up in my fluffy robe and box of tissues , reading through a stack of books from our local library..

I think you will enjoy this book.
It has basic and advanced stitches as well as stitching with seed beads and silk ribbon.
Maybe your local library has a copy if not check out a web site called Thrifty Books..

Wow Krista great work! I’m working on my beginner embroidery badge. I embroidered as a kid and young adult but hadn’t picked up again for at least a decade. I’m a little rusty and trying out a few new stitches thanks to this embroidery book I picked up. I also used a free Pinterest pattern. Tried to use the red pencils and transfer paper but could not get it to work. Did a pen instead. So hard to keep the fabric taut while tracing. But I still think it’s off to a good start.

Regular buttons and buttonholes on quilted might be too bulky but what about buttons with loops? Or maybe eyelets and laces?

Grace -

I have that Daisy Kingdom pattern and another wrap apron pattern that is similar. I thought of using them, but The armholes are a bit lower and I thought they might be too low. I used a quilted vest I have and made a pattern. I'm using scrap fabrics first, and may try both ways and see which fits best.

Judith -

Exactly, but I am thinking of making it with no seams except for the shoulder seams. I have also thought about making one or both shoulder seams closing with buttons, but don't know if that would be too bulky. What do you think?
