Hu bby and I had to run into town,.. again,, to the Big Box hardware store.. then a quick run into one of my favorite Thrifts...
Lookie Lookie what I found...

this sweet quilt,, on the back side is a faded label telling the name of the quilt, "Home on the Farm", and who it was made by and the year, 2008.. got it for $2
I searched facebook and did a name search in hopes I might get lucky to find the quilter.. but came up with nothing..

oh how I would love to know the story behind the quilt..

sweet home made, French seams.. pillow cases, both for $2... I plan to machine embroider my grand girlies names on them and use as 'gift bags' for Christmas..

faux shuttered window...$4

open it up,, now to figure where to put it...

metal art Peacock.. $4.00

it's actually almost 2 1/2 feet tall...

Soon as I got home I put everything in the laundry room for washing & cleaning.. what fun finds..

You have done it again, Grace! Great finds. That quilt is adorable. I love the cute little farmers working in the pictures. The pillow case gift bag is a great idea. Do you know what you plan to put inside yet? Also I love your shuttered window. Is it actually a mirror? If it’s a mirror it would be cute as a decoration right next to the door. A way to check your hair before you leave!

Wow, Grace! You found some good deals! Love the quilt! I found a Tuscany looking quilt at a yard sale last year and love it! The bags are such a cute idea for Christmas, too! I may have to borrow your idea for my little nephews this year if you don't mind. Boy version of course!

Grace aka Thrift shopping Queen, has struck again. The quilt is definity the catch of the day. Gotta love the peacock - I'm fond of garden art.

I tell you, Grace, you find the neatest goodies at thrift stores! What a haul you got for next to nothing! I love that little old fashion quit. It is so sweet and would be adorable for a little girl's bed. And that cool faux shuttered window is really cool. The things people think up and sell for nothing are amazing!
