Here is something I'm working on.
I'm using fabric from the fabric swaps.

Posted - Apr 20 2024 : 6:23:50 PM Wow Krista great work! I’m working on my beginner embroidery badge. I embroidered as a kid and young adult but hadn’t picked up again for at least a decade. I’m a little rusty and trying out a few new stitches thanks to this embroidery book I picked up. I also used a free Pinterest pattern. Tried to use the red pencils and transfer paper but could not get it to work. Did a pen instead. So hard to keep the fabric taut while tracing. But I still think it’s off to a good start.

Posted - Mar 22 2024 : 3:45:41 PM Regular buttons and buttonholes on quilted might be too bulky but what about buttons with loops? Or maybe eyelets and laces?

Posted - Mar 22 2024 : 3:30:43 PM Grace -
I have that Daisy Kingdom pattern and another wrap apron pattern that is similar. I thought of using them, but The armholes are a bit lower and I thought they might be too low. I used a quilted vest I have and made a pattern. I'm using scrap fabrics first, and may try both ways and see which fits best.
Judith -
Exactly, but I am thinking of making it with no seams except for the shoulder seams. I have also thought about making one or both shoulder seams closing with buttons, but don't know if that would be too bulky. What do you think?

Posted - Mar 20 2024 : 5:02:48 PM Krista,, we do not have cable, pay-for-view, nor do we stream or subscribe to certain TV venues... we have an Antenna in the attic, and get what ever comes via the air.. but fortunately we do get major channels as well as PBS and Create.

Posted - Mar 20 2024 : 1:33:28 PM Judith, yes it will be. But I am starting to think it's going to be like a king sized one lol! I have so many different patterns I want to do. I have 22 that I want to make. It only has 8 characters while the rest are objects or symbols. I decided to start on the Hogwarts Express next, so that is the one I started this week.
Grace, I actually don't have cable service. Do you watch it on a streaming platform?
Heather, right! I was thinking the same thing. I guess there is only so much detail you can do lol!
Linda, that looks neat. I hope you can figure out the pattern and make you one.

Posted - Mar 20 2024 : 1:06:04 PM Krista - great job on another piece done. She just doesn't look quite as sassy as she is in the movies LOL!
Linda - what a unique project. I think I'd like an apron like that!!! Please keep us updates on your progress - I'd love to see how it turns out.

Posted - Mar 18 2024 : 8:58:35 PM Interesting patten -- I see one piece for the back and two curved pieces for the front, joined on the side under the arms. Am I close?

Posted - Mar 18 2024 : 7:39:21 PM I'm working on trying to putting together a quilt piece to then cut up to make a quilted top. I found a pattern several years ago that I have wanted to make and made a pattern. I have a "cutter" quilt I want to use, but am making a small quilt just the size I need to try first.
This is not mine; this is the picture I found, but I have not been able to find a pattern for it.
I used a vest I have as a basis for the pattern I made. I also have a wrap apron pattern that I may be able to use.
