I had this idea this morning fore a very simple and easy swap. If a very good friend, whom you haven't seen in 15+ years calls you to say she is passing through your town and wants to see you, what sort of easy, simple Spring Easter gathering would you do for her visit at your home?

Here are the rules. #1 This should not be more than enjoying some tea or coffee and maybe a snack depending on any restrictions of your guest. Some ideas would a simple cookie recipe, an easy cold dessert to have in fridge, or maybe just an easy quick bread . Just send your favorite recipe for one of these ideas or any others you might have. #2 Think of some simple ways that make wherever you plan to sit look festive. Examples might be some pretty napkins, a few small easter eggs in a basket, or maybe a wooden bunny or chicken on the table. Lastly, put the recipe and a few extras in a little basket or cloth pouch for your friend to take home with her.

My big goal here is to keep it all small, light in weight, and very simple. Shipping costs have gone way up so if possible, keep your items such that you can pack them in a padded envelope or a very small box. I know that Farmgirls will figure out some fun, pretty and special ideas to make this swap something fun! Who is up for this Easter Bunny/Spring Chick swap?

Sign ups through March 9th and partners posted March 10th. Please make sure your package arrives the week before Easter.

Well, I think the Easter Bunny is going to be busy , busy! We have 15 people signed up so we will do this round robin style. If anyone has a question on how to figure this out, just let me know. Essentially, you send to the person after you and the last person sends to the first. Here we go.

Cindy, the most beautiful Easter package arrived today - thank you so very much!!! It had lavender in it, chocolates, a beautiful Easter tea towel, a little ladybug, tea and a journal. I loved reading about the chocolate and lavender - thank you, Cindy! Lavender is my favourite scent/flower, and I was disappointed as we live in a northern cold climate and my plants died last year :( I replanted, but didn't have any lavender so this was a double blessing :) Thank you so very much! I'm eager to try out the lavender recipes - my daughter is having a Jane Austen Tea Party this weekend for her 18th birthday, and I plan to try some out for that!

I am amazed at all the creative, beautiful and fun goodies that everyone put together for this swap! What fun it has been to open up a surprise box ! Easter Bunny comes in all sorts of packages and figures out somehow how to delight the receiver. How does he do that?? Glad everyone has been having fun and enjoying some new things to brighten up their homes for a Spring/ Easter celebration!

Thank you Sherry for my wonderful Spring Easter package. Such a thoughtful and exciting package, with everything tulip related for a lovely tea party. With many Purple treasures too. Oh the yummy white chocolate candy we ate right away, so luscious! Again, thank you so much for it all and the lavender sachets you made gave me that Spring scent when I opened the package. Thank you again Sherry.
Winnie, thank you for being our hostess for such a lovely swap.
Have a wonderful first weekend of Spring Ladies.

Thank you so much for the wonderful package. Love the napkins, that little bunny face is the cutest! You can’t go wrong with me and chocolate, and I already hung up the adorable dish towel. You totally made my day.

You are very welcome Cindy. The woolen balls are actually crocheted Easter eggs. They may need a little reshaping after shipping. Happy Easter.

Marcy, thank you so much for the thoughtful spring package of goodies!! I absolutely love it all. I put the mug rug in my desk and am using it right now with coffee and it’s just perfect! The welcome spring tags are so cute! Did you make them? My husband spied the recipe on the dining table and came to me with it in hand smiling asking “when are we making these!?” Lol!! I immediately had to put on those super soft socks and kick back with the beautiful magazine. I am planning on making three of the recipes from it for dinners this week - thank you! I also love the little flower bags and napkins. Thank you!

Winnie, I am so happy you received my package and enjoyed your goodies. I neglected to put in your recipe and tea so it will go out in an envelope on Tuesday. I am sorry about that, found them laying on my desk when I got back from the post office.
Had a Happy Weekend.
