Our Sisterhood Merit Planner is finally up for sale again on our website. I apologize for the long out-of-stock delay.

For starters, we'd outgrown the 1-inch spine on the binder we'd been buying from Staples. It took me several weeks to locate a source for a 1.5-inch spine. After that length of time, they shipped us black binders instead of white. Another delay.

Next, our commercial printer gave us fits with a software program called Fiery (aptly named). None of the technicians that came to fix it could figure out what was wrong. That meant long telephone waits on hold with Xerox. Regularly. Like a lifetime on hold.

After that, someone I hired who said they could update a few things like cut marks, ended up losing some of the files.

Along the way, I decided to step back, take a deep breath, and read it word for word. I ended up finding internet links that no longer existed and some style inconsistencies between badges (a result of the many years we've been adding new badges). Carol did the actual updates in her design program. That took her two days.

I tackled our lending library to make sure we had the required or suggested books found in some of the badges. Spending time with books is always a pleasure for me. I had to do a bit of book shopping.

And last, our local Fed Ex store who uses their big cutter to cut through the pages we print several feet deep couldn't get their cutter to work properly. "It's old and tired," one of the staff members told me.

Yesterday we started to assemble planners again. It felt good to finally reach that hallelujah high-five moment.

I am so sorry to hear that the binder was such a pain. You have put in a lot of effort to make the planner perfect and it really shows. Those who have been waiting for a binder will really be happy to see them in stock again. I know that I absolutely love mine.
