Grace, you have a lovely special corner! I stories behind the furniture pieces are also interesting and you have put some time in collecting nice things to go in your spot!

The pedestal - stand is from my Oma's (grandmother) house in Germany,, Oma acquired it right after WWII, so it is almost just shy of 80years old..

The vintage washstand is a dumpster rescue.. One of my husband's client was going to toss it in the dumpster
because the top piece of wood had a split in it and the washstand needed some TLC,,
So my hubby did his wood working VooDoo on it and it looks beautiful and you don't even notice where the split was.
The washstand is probably from the 1918's give or take a few years...

As for the plum color hat,, I bought it at a Peddlers Fair (at the Rose Bowl) in Pasadena, Calif.
The lady custom makes and decorates her hats,, they were all beautiful, A bit pricey,, but I absolutely love it...

I have several more sets of 'Hair brush/comb/mirror sets.. I luv them.. Some have removable brush heads,, so when the brush bristles weep over, you could pop
it out and put a new one in .. That being said,, no one makes the replicable bristle heads anymore.
