On Groundhog day, we had temps close to 80! But today, it rained and now we are chilly and damp again for a few days before it hikes back up to 80 again next week. I sure wish the groundhog could forecast the Florida weather better!

I agree with you Karen. The groundhog definitely knows that we will not be seeing spring anytime soon. Even though I wish we were. This winter has been just too cold for me.

I like the way you think Karen!

Marcy I just learned about your state recently. That it is only 47 miles wide by 37 miles long (exact numbers may not be accurate) but then there is over 400 miles of coastline! I just think that’s amazing. Are you inland or near a coastline ?

Maybe we should just say that the ground hog wants the Farmgirl sisters to have 6 more weeks of crafting and indoor hygge time!!

We are getting a severe cold snap in Rhode Island. With the wind it's supposed to be around ten below tomorrow. Brr I hope everyone is staying warm and cozy. I love winter, but the next few days are going to be way too cold for me.

hugs,
Marcy

Happy Groundhog Day Michele & farmgirls! We have a brisk sunny 30 here in the Chicagoland area. The winds are heading our way tonight and cold tomorrow then we go to very warm (for us) week of 30's and 40's. Too soon to think about spring but we can dream right?

LOL! We were 11 degrees this morning, but getting up into the 40/50's this week. We still have snow on the ground from last week, bright blue sunny skies, snow on the ground, nothing more beautiful. But, I am ever so ready for spring, I want to garden and get my feet in the dirt. 6 more weeks of winter sounds about right for us here on our high desert. 80's would be lovely, tho!

If I could post a shock face!! I could NOT handle "above 20" anymore, lol!! Once, when I was younger, much much younger, I'd go out in freezing snow in a tshirt and warm my car up and scrape snow and ice but I've become so accustomed to very short cool winters!! The humidity might get me at times, but still! You're amazing as is anyone else in the cold like that! My sister too! Shes in Nebraska, iced in for weeks!! Me? I got the birds and the bees and the flowers and the trees... . ( know that song? ;) lol)

Ah! Yes, that is indeed unfortunate for us. Lol! But as long as it stays above 20, it isn't too bad. I'm actually pretty cold hearty, I just don't like it much. :D

Michelle, Happy Groundhog Day to you too!!!

During the night we had freezing rain, so all the trees have a layer of ice but so far not heavy enough to do damage.

As far the groundhog goes if he was around my part of Texas, he would not see his shadow.
