Fall is just around the corner and it's time to get creative with feedsacks again. This will be the last feedsack swap as it will deplete my inventory. So if you have your own feedsack, I encourage you to use it. Otherwise when my supply of nine is gone, the swap will close. If the response is overwhelming, as it has been in the past, I may decide to cut the full bags in half. That would allow for 18 players. We'll see how the signups go.

CLOSING DATE September 29 -- or when the feedsacks are gone whichever comes first
PARTNERS POSTED September 30 -- or the day after closing
MAIL BY DATE November 10 -- over a month to create your masterpiece

For ideas check out the past Feedsack Swap postings and the internet. Your items do not have to be sewn. I saw a delightful feedsack basket the other day made from strips attached to Timtex (or even could be cardboard). The strips were then woven into a basket and it was adorable.

If you have depression era rrecipes and stories that you haven't shared before be sure to post them here. It's wonderful taking these trips down memory lane.

Wanda Sue, I totally forgot about the bowl covers you sent. They are cute and will definitely be used. Thank you!

Debbie, thank you for all your kind words. It means so much for someone to understand what goes on in your life.

Jennifer this was a swap created by Jean Pici in Idaho back in September of 2022. She was kind enough to share her stash with anyone who joined the swap.

Wanda Sue and Joan, how wonderful that you had kept in touch. This is what being a Farmgirl means, you did what you had to do with life challenges then you did the swap. You both are True Blue Farmgirls.
Your gifts are beautiful, Joan your apron is amazing as are the other treasures. Wanda Sue I love your Journal such a meaningful gift. I have a journal from Wanda Sue, April and Denise and I have made a couple, so I know the time, care and Farmgirl heart that goes into it one.
Way to go Wanda Sue and Joan thank you for sharing your gifts.

Big Hugs,
Debbie

These are all so cute! Where do you ladies find feed sacks to create these fun crafts with?

Joan I am so glad you like the journal, it was fun to research and put together. Also, I hope the bowl covers didn’t get lost in the tissue.

Denise, these are from the Feed Sack swap from the Fall of 2022. We have kept in touch this last year during lots of life changes and finally shared our swap pictures.

What swap were these for ladies? This is a 2yr old thread so I'm a bit confused.

Wanda Sue, I am so glad you liked your items I made for you, and thank you for the nice compliments about my sewing. Thank you for the wonderful junk journal! I love it! I think you did a super job of making it. I also received one from April Tovar in another swap I participated in. I have never made one, but might try now that I have two to look at. I am also glad you liked the necklace.
I am happy to be back on the Forum and to meet so many wonderful Farmgirl Sisters!

My hope is that one day soon I will be able to sew just as beautifully. Thank you so much for everything! I am very happy to see you back on the forum.

Joan I am so glad you are feeling better. We have been lucky so far, and no sickness here. I hope we can continue to stay healthy. Also thanks for letting me know your package was received, I was afraid it may have gotten lost. Please take care of yourself, and I hope you have a Merry Christmas!!

Hi, Wanda, yes I received your package, but I haven't opened it yet. My Dad had the flu and then I caught it. We are much better. I will have your package mailed soon. I will let you know when. I don't feel I should open yours until I have sent mine. Hope your family does not and has not had this bug that is going around. Take care.

Awe, thank you for the compliments on the pin cushion... I love making them. You can use almost anything, a pretty little ramikin, coffee mug, vase, tea cups, creamers, I even used a darling little (small) pitcher for one I made my mama a year or two ago. I also gifted my neighbor lady a tea cup and saucer one, (I glued the two pieces together, so she could use the saucer as a catch all for small buttons or what ever). So, Grace, I'm sure you already have a little something sitting around that you could use - BUT - a farmgirl can ALWAYS use an excuse to run to thrift store!! :-)

Hi Karen, I'm so happy you liked it all, so sorry it was a tad bit late. I too, love my feedsack goodies you sent. The tote you made me is hanging on my apron rack my daddy made me, so, it's always out in the open to admire and available to grab when I need to! Thank you, Jean, for hosting another feedsack swap, I'm so happy I finally joined in on one!

Grace I am glad you like it. I am trying to remember where I bought the wire wreath from, I am sure it will come to me, LOL.

Wanda thank you, I would like to make a couple for Christmas, now that I am sitting in my recliner recovering, going stir crazy.
